At about $1,099, an RTX 5070 Ti 16GB may be a reasonable price relative to recent reported retail figures—but it is not a confirmed live deal, and it is well above NVIDIA’s announced $749 starting price. Treat $1,099 as a price-check benchmark, not a guarantee that a card is currently available at that amount. Before buying, verify the exact card, seller, checkout total, warranty, and fit with your PC.

What you get with the RTX 5070 Ti 16GB

NVIDIA lists the desktop GeForce RTX 5070 Ti with 16 GB of GDDR7 memory and a 256-bit memory interface. Those are the specifications for NVIDIA’s reference design; partner cards can differ in dimensions, cooling, clock settings, and power requirements. NVIDIA’s RTX 5070 family specifications

Is $1,099 a good price?

The answer depends on which price you are comparing. NVIDIA announced a $749 starting price in January 2025. That was the launch starting price, not a promise that every partner model would remain available at that amount. NVIDIA later announced the card’s release and named board partners including ASUS, GIGABYTE, MSI, PNY, and ZOTAC. NVIDIA’s RTX 5070 Ti release announcement

Later retail reporting shows why $1,099 can be plausible without proving that a specific card is currently on sale for that price:

$1,099.99 Tom’s Hardware reported this as the Newegg median RTX 5070 Ti price in both June and August 2026 in its August 10, 2026 comparison. It is a historical category median, not a live offer for an individual card. Tom’s Hardware
$1,149.99 PC Gamer listed a 16 GB RTX 5070 Ti card at this price in its October 1, 2026 price watch, reduced from $1,299.99. It is a dated example, not a current availability guarantee. PC Gamer
$1,199.99 A Best Buy search result showed this price for the PNY RTX 5070 Ti OC 16GB, model VCG5070T16TFXPB1-O, SKU 6620367. Retail price and stock can change. Best Buy

So, $1,099 is close to the reported Newegg median, but the available dated examples do not verify an exact $1,099 offer. If you find a card at that price, judge it by its final checkout cost and terms rather than the headline price alone.

How to check a listing before buying

  1. Confirm the exact SKU. Partner models are not interchangeable listings. Match the model number on the retailer page to the manufacturer’s product specifications.
  2. Check the final price and seller. Confirm the checkout total, who is selling and shipping the card, stock status, return window, and warranty terms. A search-result price may not reflect a currently purchasable offer.
  3. Check case clearance and cooling. Compare the card’s published dimensions with the space in your case, and look for reviews of that exact model’s cooling and noise rather than assuming all RTX 5070 Ti cards perform alike in those respects.
  4. Verify power requirements for that model. Check its stated consumption, recommended PSU, and power connector against your power supply and the rest of your system.

Power and compatibility: verify the specific card

For one example, MSI specifies 300 W power consumption and a 750 W recommended PSU for its RTX 5070 Ti 16G EXPERT. Those figures apply to that particular card; they should not be treated as universal requirements for every RTX 5070 Ti or every PC. Check the manufacturer’s specifications for the exact model you plan to buy and account for your complete system. MSI RTX 5070 Ti 16G EXPERT specifications

What the available evidence does—and does not—show

The specifications and price references support checking an RTX 5070 Ti listing around $1,099 against recent market reporting. They do not establish that a particular partner card is the best value, that an offer is live now, or how it ranks against other GPUs in independent benchmarks. Make the purchase decision using the exact listing and your own compatibility needs rather than assuming a particular performance advantage.
