What changed in SharpEmu v0.0.5-nexus?
The official changelog describes development work across memory, CPU emulation, graphics, input, and file handling. It is a list of fixes and improvements, not a promise that a particular game is fully playable or stable.
- Memory and CPU: POSIX guest-address-space pre-reservation, CPU stack-range caching, and SHA instruction emulation for hosts without SHA support.
- Input and files: pad-input handling changes and support for multiple directories with the same name.
- Graphics: GPU translation and performance changes, shader fixes, stencil handling, HDR output support, Vulkan wave64 ballot-mask fixes, indirect-buffer continuation links, GTA 5 Gen5 shader-resource handling, and computed-shader performance work.
- Game-specific and media fixes: notes mention Gran Turismo 7 fixes and AvPlayer, Razor CPU, and network stubs, along with shader fixes affecting Dead Space, Little Nightmares, Little Nightmares III, and Astro Bot. The changelog also lists performance improvements for Astro Bot and Demon’s Souls, plus font fixes.
These are the changes named by the official release notes. They do not establish frame rates, stability, or a full-playability status for the named games.

No compatibility guarantee follows from a game appearing in a changelog. DSOGaming’s October 3, 2026 report also names Demon’s Souls, Astro Bot, GTA V, Gran Turismo 7, Little Nightmares, and Little Nightmares III in connection with the update, but that coverage and the project’s notes describe reported support or targeted changes—not proof that every title runs from start to finish. See DSOGaming’s release report alongside the project notes, and check current project documentation or issue-level compatibility records for a specific game.

What should you know before downloading?
Use the official GitHub release page to identify the build and review its notes before installing. The sources available for this release do not state minimum or recommended PC specifications, nor do they provide a complete, authoritative game-by-game compatibility list. Do not treat the graphics or performance entries as evidence of a particular PC requirement or speed improvement.
The changelog includes a pad-input change, so a PC game controller may be useful as an optional setup accessory. No controller model is documented as required or tested, and the notes do not promise that a controller works with every game.
