No official announcement, publisher page, platform listing, or release date for a game called Sesame Street: Friends & Fun is currently documented. The only trace is an unofficial Reddit repost describing a party-style neighborhood game. The verifiable Sesame Street product with a block-party theme is a picture book, Big Block Party!, whose story is about preparing healthy party snacks.
What is documented today
Big Block Party! (the book)
Joe Mathieu’s illustrator portfolio describes Big Block Party! as a Sesame Street children’s book in which the Muppets learn to prepare healthy snacks for their big block party. The portfolio credits Deborah November as the author, lists the book as a November 2006 title, and says it includes recipe cards. The portfolio is a creator’s showcase, not a retailer or publisher listing, so it does not establish the current edition, publisher, page count, or whether copies are still in print.
Adjacent Sesame Street books
Two other Sesame Street titles are published by Penguin Random House. They are not tied to the block-party story or to any game, but they show the kinds of activity formats the series uses for young readers.

Choose between these by what you want the child to do. The recipe cards in Big Block Party! suit a snack-making activity, while the flap books suit very young readers who enjoy lifting and looking. Stock and current prices change, so check the publisher or a library catalog before buying.

What is still unknown about the game
The Reddit repost is the only source that mentions Sesame Street: Friends & Fun, and it does not establish any of the following:
- Whether the game is officially announced or licensed by the show’s producers
- Who publishes or develops it
- Which platforms it runs on, or whether it exists at all outside the repost
- Its release date or any version history
- Where, or for how much, it could be purchased
- Whether “Elmo’s Big Block Party” is a level, mode, or separate product inside a game
Until an official source names the game, treat any description of its features, age rating, or price as unverified.

How to check a Sesame Street game before you download it
- Search the exact title in quotation marks in your store’s search bar: Google Play, the Apple App Store, Steam, or a console storefront. If nothing appears under an official publisher name, the game is not confirmed on that store.
- Open the listing and read the developer or publisher name. Compare it with the show’s official website or the publisher’s own site, not with a link in a comment or repost.
- Check the release date, the number of ratings, and the age rating. A listing with a recent date but very few reviews should be treated with caution.
- Review the permissions requested at install (on Android, under the app’s permissions screen; on iPhone and iPad, in the App Store listing’s privacy details). A children’s game that asks for contacts, location, or microphone access without a clear reason is a warning sign.
- Avoid downloading from a link in a repost, a forum post, or an unfamiliar website, even if the page looks like the official store.
Warning signs in fake children’s game listings
- No named developer, or a developer name that differs from the publisher named in the description
- Logos or character art that are slightly distorted, or a title spelled differently from the official show branding
- Download instructions that ask you to sideload an APK file or disable device security settings
- In-app purchase prices that are not shown before installation
- Many reviews posted on the same day, or reviews that do not mention the actual gameplay
Using the block-party theme without a game
If the attraction is the party theme itself, the most direct option is to read Big Block Party! with a child and then make one snack from the book’s recipe cards. Before you start, check the actual card for ingredients and allergens, since the illustrator’s portfolio describes the cards but does not reproduce them. A library catalog search for the title is a free way to borrow a copy and see whether the recipes match what you plan to make.
