Seiko’s Presage Cocktail Time GMT pairs a second-time-zone hand with a design that reads more like a dress watch than a conventional sports watch. The headline does not identify one reference: Seiko’s UK catalogue includes the SSK049J1 Silver Bullet, HCB004J1 Daiquiri and HCB005J1 Corcovado. Their details differ, so the model shown matters.
Why the Cocktail Time GMT looks less sporty
Seiko’s Daiquiri product page describes a cocktail-inspired dial, curved hands and indices, a curved mirror-finished case and gold-coloured accents. Those details give the HCB004J1 a softer, more decorative appearance than the angular cases and bracelets associated with many sport-watch designs. The Corcovado and Silver Bullet are also Cocktail Time GMT references, but their own dial and strap details should not be inferred from the Daiquiri.
Seiko’s product copy says the limited-edition Daiquiri dial takes inspiration from the cocktail made with white rum, lime juice and syrup. That is a design reference, not a claim about the watch’s function or performance. Seiko’s UK Daiquiri listing describes the design and specifications.
Which Presage GMT might the headline mean?
The title alone does not identify a specific watch. Seiko’s UK catalogue lists several Cocktail Time GMT references, including these three. The listed prices below are UK prices observed October 3, 2026; they are not universal prices, and stock can change.

The HCB004J1 and HCB005J1 pages also list a 20 mm lug width, a see-through screw case back and magnetic resistance of 4,800 A/m. The Silver Bullet product sheet lists a 20 mm lug width and see-through case back. These are reference-specific facts; check the individual listing if a particular detail matters. Consult the Daiquiri listing, Corcovado listing and Silver Bullet product sheet for current official product information.
What the GMT hand does—and what it does not imply
Seiko describes the 24-hour hand as a dual-time display: it lets the wearer track a second time zone alongside the local time. It is a practical travel or coordination feature, but the presence of GMT functionality does not make a watch a sports watch by itself. The Cocktail Time GMT combines that function with decorative dial and case styling.

- SEIKO WATCH – Seiko SSK037 Presage wristwatch.
- COLLECTION – Presage design.
- CASE SIZE – 40.5 mm format.
- TIMEPIECE – Seiko mechanical wristwatch.
- WATCH DIAMETER – 40.5 mm.
The three references listed here use Seiko’s automatic 4R34 movement and have an approximately 41-hour power reserve according to their product information. That figure is the stated reserve, not a promise that every watch will run for exactly that long in every condition.

Seiko’s separate Sharp Edged Series GMT makes the contrast clearer. In its 2021 announcement, Seiko emphasized angular case and bracelet lines and a textured Asanoha-pattern dial. That model family has a different specification set from the Cocktail Time references; its announcement lists a 6R64 movement, a 45-hour power reserve, a 42.2 mm case diameter, 13.7 mm thickness, sapphire crystal and 10 bar water resistance. These are Sharp Edged figures, not specifications for the Daiquiri, Corcovado or Silver Bullet. See Seiko’s 2021 Sharp Edged GMT announcement.

What to consider before choosing one
- Appearance: The Daiquiri has a cream-and-gold dial and bracelet; the Corcovado has a blue dial and leather strap; the Silver Bullet has a silver dial and leather strap. Do not assume the pictured strap or dial belongs to every Cocktail Time GMT.
- Case fit: These three listed references are all 40.5 mm across and about 47.5 mm long, with thickness between 12.8 and 12.82 mm. Those dimensions can help you compare fit, but wrist comfort also depends on shape and strap or bracelet.
- Water resistance: Each of the three listings states 5 bar. A dressier appearance does not establish water resistance, and these figures should not be confused with the Sharp Edged announcement’s 10 bar rating.
- Crystal and materials: The Cocktail Time references use box-shape Hardlex according to the listings, while the Sharp Edged announcement specifies sapphire. Crystal type is one difference to weigh; do not assume the design style alone predicts durability.
- Price and availability: The stated UK prices are listing prices observed October 3, 2026, not guaranteed current prices elsewhere. Seiko’s Daiquiri page describes it as a limited edition and says it was available from October 1, 2026; the Corcovado listing gives an October 1, 2026 release date. Check the relevant listing for current stock and price.
Product prices and availability are accurate as of the date/time indicated and are subject to change. Any price and availability information displayed on Amazon at the time of purchase will apply.
