Sega’s official listing prices the Sonic the Hedgehog Arita-yaki “Infinite Blue” sculpture at ¥1,000,000 including tax (¥909,091 before tax). It is limited to 50 pieces worldwide, with release scheduled for October 9, 2026. The listing does not state a $6,300 price.
What is the “Infinite Blue” Sonic sculpture?
SEGA Sonic Channel describes “Infinite Blue” as a porcelain craft sculpture made to mark Sonic’s 35th anniversary. The official Japanese page calls it “唯一無二の磁器クラフト作品,” meaning a one-of-a-kind porcelain craft work. The item is made of Arita-yaki porcelain, a Japanese ceramic tradition. Official product listing
Sonic’s 35th anniversary falls in 2026: SEGA’s anniversary announcement traces the franchise’s beginning to the 1991 game. SEGA also reports more than 1.77 billion cumulative sales for the series, combining full-game and free-to-play totals; that figure is not a count of paid copies alone.
