Securitize announced Securitize Stocks on Solana on October 8, 2026. The company says each token is backed one-for-one by a share and represents a security entitlement, but a token holder is not a registered shareholder unless they convert it. Same-day financial coverage reported that Securitize Corp. shares (NYSE: SECZ) rose more than 10% in intraday trading; that market move is separate from the product announcement, and the reports do not establish that the launch caused it.
What are tokenized stocks?
Tokenized stocks are digital tokens designed to represent an interest in shares of a company. Securitize says its new Securitize Stocks are convertible entitlement tokens, or CETs, issued on Solana. The company describes each token as backed one-for-one by an underlying share and as representing a security entitlement under UCC Article 8.
For launch trading, Securitize selected its existing Solana PropAMM, named Jump Trading as market maker, and specified settlement in USDC. Trading is initially planned during extended U.S. market hours; Securitize says it intends to expand toward 24/7 availability.
Are Securitize Stocks backed by real shares?
Securitize says the tokens are backed one-for-one by underlying shares and that those shares will not be lent out. These are the company’s stated product structure and design. The underlying companies have not sponsored or endorsed Securitize Stocks, according to Securitize’s October 8, 2026 release.
Token ownership is not the same as being a registered shareholder on the underlying company’s books. Securitize says holders are not registered shareholders unless they convert their entitlement, where conversion is available, to direct ownership recorded through transfer-agent infrastructure. The company presents conversion into issuer-sponsored shares as a possible future bridge if an issuer adopts that model; it is not a claim that every token can currently be converted.
Do token holders get dividends or voting rights?
Securitize says holders receive applicable economic benefits and rights, including dividends and voting rights when the underlying share class carries them. The rights depend on the share and the product structure; buying a token does not by itself make the holder a registered shareholder. Conversion, where available, is the stated route to direct ownership recorded on the issuer’s books.

Where and when can eligible investors trade?
Securitize says initial secondary-market trading takes place through its PropAMM on Solana, with USDC settlement and Jump Trading as the named market maker. The launch schedule is extended U.S. market hours, not round-the-clock trading. The company has described 24/7 availability as an intended expansion, not a feature already in place.
The company also says Securitize Stocks are expected to trade on a planned NYSE digital venue and the planned OKXICE Tokenized Securities Venue. Neither venue had launched as of Securitize’s October 8 release. Any future listing is subject to regulatory approval, venue review, operational requirements, and other conditions; these are planned routes, not current access options.

Can I buy Securitize Stocks in my country?
Securitize says access is for eligible investors in the United States, the European Union, and other permitted jurisdictions. Availability is subject to applicable securities laws, sanctions restrictions, onboarding, and know-your-customer and anti-money-laundering checks. That does not mean the product is available to every investor in those regions or globally. Prospective users need to check current eligibility and availability with Securitize before attempting to trade.
How does the SEC framework apply?
The regulatory routes described for Securitize Stocks and for tokenized securities venues are not interchangeable. Securitize says its secondary-market trading is offered through its broker-dealer without relying on the exemptions for tokenized securities venues, while it expects the product may be eligible for those venues.

In a September 17, 2026 statement, SEC Commissioner Hester M. Peirce described an SEC order establishing time-limited exemptions for a particular category of tokenized securities venues and certain liquidity providers. Peirce said issuers that do not want their stock trading on those venues can opt out and emphasized that the order is limited and temporary. She wrote, “The innovation exemption has arrived.” The statement does not amount to blanket SEC approval of tokenized stocks or of every venue or product.
Why did SECZ stock jump today?
Same-day financial coverage reported that SECZ rose more than 10% in intraday trading after Securitize announced the product. Reports reflected different time snapshots, so the headline figure should not be read as a closing return or as a single definitive end-of-day percentage. The timing establishes that the announcement and the reported move occurred on the same day; it does not prove that the launch alone caused the share-price change.

Securitize Corp. began trading on the NYSE under the ticker SECZ on July 2, 2026, after completing its business combination with Cantor Equity Partners II. The company’s August 12, 2026 SEC-filed earnings release reported the following Q2 2026 figures. They describe Securitize’s broader business, not the new tokenized-equity product:

- What legal claim the token represents and how the backing shares are held.
- Whether the underlying issuer sponsors the product.
- Which shareholder rights apply and whether conversion to registered ownership is available.
- Which jurisdictions and investor categories are eligible.
- Trading hours, trading venue, settlement asset, and available liquidity.
- The product’s regulatory status and any conditions on venue access.
