The Secretlab Atlas is a firm office-and-gaming-chair hybrid with useful adjustments, but it may take time to get used to its feel. In Expert Reviews’ September 10, 2026 review, Will Georgiadis tested a Regular SoftWeave model with standard cold-cure foam and concluded that it suited him better after more than two weeks of regular use. His experience is promising, not a guarantee of comfort for every buyer.
What is the Secretlab Atlas?
The Atlas is designed to bridge gaming and office chairs: it has a supportive backrest and firm foam, while offering adjustments such as seat-depth movement, recline, and adjustable armrests. The review describes Regular and Large sizes, with SoftWeave fabric, standard leatherette, and premium NanoFoam Composite configurations.
Georgiadis tested the Regular SoftWeave version with standard cold-cure foam. He says a magnetic head pillow is included across versions. The premium NanoFoam Composite configuration adds a thin microfoam layer over cold-cure foam for a softer sit, according to the review. For the £599 leatherette premium version, the review says Secretlab characterizes its NanoGen Hybrid Leatherette as more durable and supple; that is the manufacturer’s claim as described by the reviewer, not an independently established material comparison.

What does the Secretlab Atlas cost?
Expert Reviews listed these UK prices in its September 10, 2026 article. They are the article’s prices at publication, not verified current prices.
#1 Best Overall
- RE-CURVE Backrest with integrated lumbar: Full-back support for your back, head, and neck.
- Next-generation Secretlab NanoFoam Composite: Multi-layer foam composite with a soft-cushion microfoam top and cold-cure foam base. Our softest and most supportive foam yet.
- Synchronous tilt mechanism: For every 2° of backrest recline, your seatbase tilts by 1°. Moves with you to support active, dynamic sitting.
- Adjustable seat base, backrests, and armrests: Sit more comfortably with ergonomic support tailored to your body.
- Low-set seat base: Plant your feet firmly for more even weight distribution. Optimized for a neutral, upright posture.
| Configuration | Article-reported UK price |
|---|---|
| Regular leatherette | £399 |
| Regular SoftWeave, the reviewed configuration | £429 |
| Large size | £30 more than the corresponding size price |
| Regular NanoFoam Composite | £599 |
| Large NanoFoam Composite | £629 |
The reviewer’s value judgment favors the standard foam option: he awarded the chair full marks and considered the standard configuration better value than the premium versions. That is his assessment, rather than a current price comparison across retailers.
How comfortable is the Secretlab Atlas?
Georgiadis describes the chair as firm. He initially noticed that firmness particularly after switching from a Razer Iskur, but after a little over two weeks he says he preferred the Atlas. He found the cold-cure foam cushioning without feeling that he sank into it or that it sagged, and the Regular seat fit his legs. These are his personal impressions, not a promise about another person’s comfort or fit.
Rank #2
- RE-CURVE Backrest with integrated lumbar: Full-back support for your back, head, and neck.
- Patent-pending cold-cure foam: High-density, medium-firm formulation distributes your weight evenly for long hours of comfort.
His account is based on regular use over “two-going-on-three weeks.” He says, “Every day for at least two weeks is ample time to form a solid opinion, particularly if you’ve sat on a lot of other gaming and office chairs (which I have).” That is the reviewer’s view of his own review method, not an industry standard. If you prefer a softer seat, the Atlas’s firm feel is the main reason to try it in person or compare the premium foam option before deciding.

Expert Reviews reports the following measurements and adjustment ranges for the tested chair:
Rank #3
- ALL-DAY COMFORT FOR WORK & PLAY - PC chair made of cold-cure foam for ideal posture, comes with memory foam magnetic head pillow that can be adjusted over a wide range and snaps into place on your backrest while providing enhanced neck support and pressure relief
- Up to 120° of recline, with four backrest locking angles: 100°, 107°, 113°, and 120°.
- Four recline-resistance settings.
- Seat-height adjustment of 7.5 cm and seat-depth movement of 6 cm.
- Armrests that adjust in height, swivel, and depth.
- Weight of 22 kg; maximum height of 127 cm from floor to the chair’s tip at full extension; and 71 cm across the armrests.
The reviewer found the seat-depth and recline adjustments useful. He also reports that the angle lock sometimes stuck while unlocked and needed a push against the backrest to release. Treat that as an issue observed in his review, not evidence that every Atlas will have the same problem.
Is the Secretlab Atlas easy to assemble?
Georgiadis says he unpacked and assembled the chair alone in 21 minutes. That is his reported time, not a guaranteed assembly duration; your setup may take longer depending on experience and circumstances.
Rank #4
- ALL-DAY COMFORT FOR WORK & PLAY - PC chair made of cold-cure foam for ideal posture, comes with memory foam magnetic head pillow that can be adjusted over a wide range and snaps into place on your backrest while providing enhanced neck support and pressure relief
Who is the Secretlab Atlas best suited to?
- Consider it if you want a firm chair with both gaming-chair character and office-style adjustments, including seat-depth movement and recline.
- Pause if you know you prefer a plush seat, since the reviewer found the standard foam firm even though he grew to prefer it.
- Check the dimensions against your desk and room: the review reports a 71 cm armrest-to-armrest width and a 127 cm maximum height at full extension.
- Choose the configuration carefully: the reviewer preferred standard foam for value, while the premium NanoFoam Composite is described as adding a softer microfoam layer.
The review mentions the Sihoo M57, Slouch Task One, and Secretlab Titan Evo as comparison points, but does not provide a complete, current feature-by-feature comparison. Georgiadis also references his previous Razer Iskur when describing the Atlas’s firmness; this is personal context rather than a controlled head-to-head test.
Is the Secretlab Atlas worth it?
In Georgiadis’s assessment, yes: after an adjustment period, he found the Atlas supportive and comfortable, liked its construction and useful adjustments, and gave it full marks. The practical caveat is firmness, which may not suit everyone; the reported sticking angle lock is another point to keep in mind. His review favors the standard foam model for value, but its UK prices date to September 10, 2026, and current pricing and availability are not established here.
