There is no reliable single percentage for how much every second-generation Acura NSX has depreciated. U.S. market records span $80,500 to $278,000 for 2017–2022 cars, but those endpoints represent very different vehicles: a 2017 NSX at the low end and a 2022 Type S at the high end. A more useful current benchmark is the $137,875 median across 82 verified auction sales reported through October 3, 2026—not a guaranteed value for any one car.
What is a second-generation Acura NSX worth now?
Two market aggregators give different snapshots because they use different records and statistics. CLASSIC.COM reports an average sale price of $161,985 and recorded sales from $80,500 to $278,000, based on records observed in October 2026. DriveIndex reports a $137,875 median across 82 verified auction sales through October 3, 2026. These figures are not directly interchangeable, and averaging them would not produce a meaningful valuation.

The range is not a depreciation curve: it compares different model years, trims, and individual cars. Auction sale prices also describe completed transactions, not dealer asking prices or a guaranteed private-sale offer.

Acura listed the 2017 base NSX at $156,000 before destination, tax, license, registration, and options; the listed destination charge was $1,800. That is a useful historical baseline, but it does not establish what a particular owner paid or what that car is worth today.

For scale only, DriveIndex’s $137,875 generation-wide median is $18,125 below the 2017 base MSRP, or about 11.6%. That subtraction is not a defensible estimate of typical owner depreciation: the median combines different model years and configurations, while MSRP excludes options and other costs and is not a matched sale price for a 2017 base car.
Original pricing also changed with equipment and trim. Acura set the 2019 NSX starting MSRP at $157,500 after making $4,700 of previously optional content standard. The 2022 NSX Type S had a $169,500 MSRP, or $171,495 including its $1,995 destination charge, before taxes, registration, and options. A Type S should not be treated as equivalent to a base NSX when calculating depreciation.

What is a 2017 Acura NSX worth today?
Kelley Blue Book’s 2017 NSX resale estimate was $117,000 on a page accessed October 7, 2026. The available estimate did not specify a valuation date, configuration, mileage, or condition assumptions, so use it only as a reference point and confirm the live valuation for the exact car.

Are second-generation NSX prices still falling?
Not necessarily. DriveIndex reported that its median rose 4.1% over the 12 months through October 3, 2026. That indicates the mix of cars sold in its dataset had a higher median than in the preceding period; it does not show that every NSX appreciated, or that one specific car gained 4.1% in value.
The second-generation NSX combines a twin-turbocharged V6, three electric motors, and a nine-speed dual-clutch transmission. Acura listed 573 hp of system output for the 2018 model. Those specifications distinguish the car, but they do not by themselves establish a resale premium or a depreciation rate.

Does the 2022 NSX Type S hold its value better?
The available sale range includes a $278,000 result for a 2022 Type S sold February 15, 2026, while the low recorded result is $80,500 for a 2017 NSX sold September 2, 2026. The large difference cannot establish how well the Type S holds value: it compares distinct model years and trims, and does not provide a matched cohort of purchase and resale prices. Treat Type S results as a separate submarket rather than blending them into a base-car estimate.

How to estimate the value of an individual NSX
For a useful comparison, look for completed sales of cars that resemble the one being valued. Work through these factors in order:

- The chassis employs the same frame as the real car, with authentic rendering suspension.
- Highly detailed V6 engine included.
- Features a realistic depiction of the cockpit interior with excellent detail such as door interior panels.
- Includes decals and stickers to recreate markings, plus window masking stickers.
- Metal transfers are used to capture mirror surfaces and emblems.
- Match trim and model year. Compare base NSX cars with base NSX cars, and Type S examples with Type S examples.
- Match mileage and condition. Use sales with similar mileage and documented condition; a broad generation-wide range cannot account for a particular car’s wear or history.
- Account for equipment and original price. Options affect the original transaction, and the 2019 change to standard equipment means model-year MSRPs are not automatically comparable.
- Use recent completed transactions. Separate recorded sale prices from asking prices and appraisal estimates, and note the sale date and transaction type.
- Read aggregates as market indicators. A median or average changes with the cars that sold during the period; it is not a matched-car return.
Acura’s historical MSRP releases provide a baseline, while auction aggregators provide sale records. Neither, alone or together, supplies a configuration-matched depreciation percentage for a representative owner. The evidence here is U.S.-focused; it does not establish values in other markets or a private-sale or dealer-retail average.
