The SEBO Felix Premium 9809AU is an Australian-market upright vacuum specified with an ET-1 powered head, a 3.5-litre filter bag and SEBO’s S-Class filtration system. SEBO lists it for hard floors and cut-pile carpet, but owners of 100% wool loop carpet should use the optional delicate brush roller or suction-only cleaning. These are manufacturer specifications and guidance—not independent performance-test results.
What is the SEBO Felix Premium 9809AU?
SEBO Australia identifies model 9809AU as the Felix Premium upright vacuum. The Australian product page lists an ET-1 powered head and a 175-watt motor for that head. The wattage describes the head motor; it is not a measure of pickup performance. See SEBO Australia’s 9809AU specifications.
This review is limited to published information for the Australian model. European Felix 1 Premium pages and UK or North American documentation describe other markets; their packages, part numbers and warranty terms should not be assumed to apply to 9809AU.

Is it suitable for your floors?
Hard floors and cut-pile carpet
SEBO lists the 9809AU as suitable for hard floors and cut-pile carpet. That is a useful starting point if your home has both surfaces, but suitability depends on using the appropriate head and settings. Confirm the right setup for your particular flooring rather than treating the vacuum’s general floor guidance as a guarantee for every surface.

- HEPA FILTER WITH ANTI-ALLERGEN COMPLETE SEAL: Advanced HEPA vacuum technology traps dust and allergens* inside the vacuum, helping deliver a cleaner home environment. *Allergens refer to non-living matter.
- SWIVEL STEERING FOR EASY MANEUVERABILITY: Navigate tight spaces, corners, and around furniture with ease using smooth swivel steering for effortless control across floors.
100% wool loop carpet
SEBO’s guidance for 100% wool loop carpet is to fit the optional delicate brush roller, identified on the product page as 5010GE, or to clean using suction only. The optional roller is not established as part of the standard Australian bundle; check what the seller includes and whether the roller is compatible with your exact machine.
What do the bag and filtration specifications mean?
SEBO Australia states a 3.5-litre filter-bag volume and describes the vacuum’s filtration as an airtight S-Class system. These are manufacturer specifications, not independent measurements of filtration performance. They also do not establish that the vacuum treats or prevents allergies or other medical conditions.

- EVERY PURCHASE SAVES PETS. BISSELL proudly supports the BISSELL Pet Foundation and its mission to help save homeless pets.
- POWERFUL SUCTION WITH SCATTER-FREE TECH. Engineered to capture messes on hard floors with less scatter and powerful suction on carpets. Enjoy a convenient, highperformance clean in one machine.
- COMPACT & LIGHTWEIGHT DESIGN. Weighing less than 8 pounds, this vacuum is easy to carry and store. Perfect for dorms, apartments, and small living spaces without sacrificing cleaning power.
- REMOVABLE EXTENSION WAND. Features a quick-release wand to easily clean abovefloor surfaces like curtains, upholstery, and baseboards. Tackle dirt and debris in tight spaces with ease.
- EASY EMPTY DIRT CONTAINER. The bagless design allows for quick and mess-free emptying with the push of a button. Keep your hands clean and your home debris-free.
Bagged operation means replacement bags are an ongoing ownership item, alongside filters and—if needed for delicate wool loop carpet—a suitable brush roller. SEBO’s Felix downloads and spare-parts page lists manuals and parts information. Because documentation and part numbers can be market-specific, confirm Australian compatibility with SEBO Australia or an authorised local dealer before ordering.

The available evidence does not establish independent, model-specific test results for pickup, noise, weight or manoeuvrability. Those qualities matter in daily use, but they should not be inferred from the motor wattage or the product category. If they are decisive for your purchase, look for a documented test of the Australian 9809AU or arrange a demonstration with a local seller.

What to check before buying
- Confirm the product is the Australian Felix Premium 9809AU and identify the head and accessories included in that seller’s current bundle.
- If you have 100% wool loop carpet, ask about the optional 5010GE delicate brush roller and confirm the recommended suction-only alternative and setup.
- Verify Australian part numbers and compatibility for replacement bags, filters and rollers with SEBO Australia or an authorised dealer.
- Ask the seller for current local price, stock and warranty terms; do not rely on warranty or bundle details shown for European or UK variants.
- If handling, storage, noise or cleaning performance are priorities, seek a model-specific demonstration or documented independent test rather than assuming results from specifications.
How does it compare with other vacuums?
Compare alternatives by whether their heads and settings suit your flooring, what accessories are included, and how straightforward compatible bags and filters are to obtain locally. Also compare independent evidence on manoeuvrability and storage, plus the Australian warranty and support terms. Do not use European Felix 1 Premium packages or overseas consumable codes as a proxy for this Australian SKU.
