Verdict: Sealy’s current UK catalogue lists three Posturepedic Exquisite mattresses—Indulgence Plush, Essence Medium and Relaxation Firm—but does not substantiate a separate model called “Exquisite Excellence.” The official specifications distinguish the three by advertised feel, depth and materials; they do not establish how the mattresses perform in independent testing. This is a guide to the UK range, not a hands-on review.
Is there a Sealy Posturepedic Exquisite Excellence mattress?
“Exquisite Excellence” does not appear as a separate model in Sealy’s current UK catalogue. The closest supported match is the UK Posturepedic Exquisite range, which lists three variants: Indulgence Plush, Essence Medium and Relaxation Firm. Check the seller’s exact model name and specification before buying; a retailer’s wording may not match Sealy’s current catalogue.
This article covers the UK models only. Sealy Australia’s Exquisite materials describe a different product and should not be used to infer the construction or performance of the UK mattresses.
How do the three UK Exquisite models compare?
The specifications below are Sealy’s published descriptions, not independently measured or verified results. The manufacturer advises checking the listing for the precise size and retailer because specifications and promotional wording may vary.
#1 Best Overall

- Innovative cooling comfort: The MoistureProtect Cover wicks moisture away from your body to help keep you cool and comfortable all night long
- Durability you can count on: The DuraFlex Coil Edge surrounds the mattress for a solid seating surface that’s more durable and flexible when paired with an adjustable base
- Designed for all sleep positions
| Model | Advertised feel | Listed depth | Published construction details |
|---|---|---|---|
| Exquisite Indulgence Plush | Plush | 36 cm | 4,000 micro coils and double ClimaLux foam |
| Exquisite Essence Medium | Medium | 34 cm | 2,000 micro coils and a double layer of ClimaLux foam |
| Exquisite Relaxation Firm | Firm | 32 cm | Double-layer ClimaLux foam plus EcoLux foam; a micro-coil count is not stated in Sealy’s cited catalogue |
The depth matters when choosing fitted sheets or a protector: check that the product accommodates the depth of your selected model, as well as the mattress size. The listed feel labels are a starting point, not a guarantee of how a mattress will feel to every sleeper.
What does Sealy claim about support?
Sealy describes the Exquisite collection as combining its RestSupport coil system with comfort materials. The company says its Posturepedic support system is intended to align the body during rest and promote deeper sleep. These are manufacturer claims, not demonstrated outcomes for every sleeper or independent findings about these specific models.

- Four-Stage Cooling System: CoolNest technology delivers instant, adaptive, and sustained cool in this king mattress. Ice Silk Cover provides instant cool feel. PCMflux foam actively adapts to body temperature, ensuring your Sweetnight king size mattress stays comfortably cool all night
- Dynamic Coil Support Technology: 600 individually wrapped Dynamic Coils in this king mattress respond independently to pressure changes, providing support. Motion transfer reduced by 70% (＜15% transfer rate) for undisturbed sleep in your king size mattresses
- DuoSense Pillow Top Comfort: Upper gel memory foam delivers cool, pressure-relieving cushioning while lower 3D comfort foam provides resilient support in this king mattress. Reduces pressure by 32%, creating a gentle cradle-like feel that absorbs movement all night
- Reinforced Edge Support: High-density foam encasement surrounds this king mattress perimeter for superior edge stability. Sit or sleep near the edge with confidence—no sagging or rolling off. Maximizes usable sleep surface on your Sweetnight king size mattress
- Certified Safe & Healthy: This king mattress features CertiPUR-US certified foam and OEKO-TEX cover for a hypoallergenic, fiberglass-free sleep environment. ACA recognized for back support. Vacuum compressed king size in a box—expands to full shape within 72 hours
The manufacturer specifications do not establish real-world pressure relief, motion transfer, temperature regulation, edge support or longevity. They also do not show which variant suits a particular body type, sleeping position or health need. The coil counts and foam descriptions alone are not enough to rank the models for comfort or durability.
Which Exquisite model should you consider?
- Indulgence Plush: consider it if you prefer the range’s plush-labelled option. Its catalogue listing gives it the greatest depth and specifies 4,000 micro coils with double ClimaLux foam.
- Essence Medium: consider it if you prefer a medium-labelled feel. Sealy lists 2,000 micro coils, double-layer ClimaLux foam and a 34 cm depth.
- Relaxation Firm: consider it if you prefer a firm-labelled feel. Its published description names ClimaLux and EcoLux foam and gives a 32 cm depth; the cited catalogue does not state a micro-coil count for this model.
Where possible, try the exact model and size you are considering. A “medium” or “firm” label does not predict individual comfort, and the published construction details cannot settle that question.

What should you check before buying?
The cited Sealy pages do not establish current prices, stock, delivery terms, guarantee details, or a retailer’s trial and return policy. Confirm each item directly with the seller for the exact model and size before ordering. Sealy provides a retailer-finding route, but availability and retailer terms may differ.
Also verify the live specification on the specific listing. If you need a fitted sheet or protector, compare its size and depth allowance with the mattress you select; the UK catalogue lists the models at 32–36 cm deep.

How does the evidence support a review verdict?
The available UK product information is enough to compare the models’ advertised feels, listed depths and disclosed materials. It is not enough to judge hands-on comfort, long-term durability, value for money or performance for a particular sleeper. Without independent testing or firsthand assessment, the fair verdict is that the range offers three clearly differentiated advertised options, but the catalogue alone cannot identify a best mattress.
