Scamnetic announced a $13 million Series A in 2025, led by Roo Capital, and said the round brought its total investment to $16 million. The company said it would use the funding to expand marketing, sales, and customer support and speed up product development. Its tools are designed to assess suspicious communications, verify who is behind them, and support people dealing with scams—but the company’s announcements do not independently establish how accurately the tools detect scams or prevent losses.
What the Series A funds
Scamnetic announced the Series A on April 25, 2025, with Roo Capital leading. 1st and Main Growth Partners, SaaS Ventures, and Riptide Ventures also participated. Scamnetic said the financing brought its total investment to $16 million. SecurityWeek reported the announcement that day.
The company said it planned to put the money toward marketing, sales, customer support, and accelerating its product roadmap. The announcement describes intended investment priorities; it does not provide a breakdown of how much was allocated to each area.
What Scamnetic’s software is designed to do
Analyze suspicious communications
When Scamnetic launched its AI-based scam-detection product in August 2024, it described Scan&Score as a way to assess incoming communications and media. The company’s 2025 funding announcement also included scam education among its offerings. These are descriptions of the product’s intended functions, not independent evidence of detection accuracy. Check the identity behind a communication
The launch materials described IDeveryone as checking the identity of a communication counterparty across text, audio, or video. Scamnetic also described Scam Intervention as help for people facing or recovering from scams. Those descriptions do not establish that every suspicious message or identity can be verified.
Verify payments through PayVerify
In a June 23, 2026 announcement, Scamnetic said its IDeveryone Payment Protection division had been renamed PayVerify and expanded to include pre-verification intelligence, business verification, and bank-account verification. Its current PayVerify page describes use cases involving push payments, cryptocurrency, ACH and wire transfers, and checks, as well as API integration and step-up identity checks. These capabilities are described by the company; the reviewed materials do not supply independent results showing how well they prevent payment fraud.

Why scam prevention is drawing attention
The Federal Trade Commission says consumers reported losing more than $12.5 billion to fraud in the United States in 2024, a 25% increase from 2023. Among people who reported fraud, 38% said they lost money in 2024, compared with 27% in 2023. These are figures from consumer reports, not a complete count of fraud, and they do not measure Scamnetic’s potential market or the effectiveness of its tools. The FTC’s 2024 data release also identifies text-message scams—including fake delivery alerts, job offers, bank alerts, unpaid-toll messages, and wrong-number approaches—as a common problem. The agency separately reported $470 million in losses from scams that began with text messages in 2024.
Partnerships point to a business-to-business strategy
Scamnetic has announced relationships spanning digital banking, identity protection, and fraud-prevention infrastructure. Examples include a Kasasa reseller arrangement to embed KnowScam in SureLock for financial institutions, an Anonybit partnership focused on identity protection for financial institutions, and a licensing agreement with Sigma Loyalty Group covering Canada and select international markets. In March 2026, Scamnetic also announced an enterprise partnership with VanishID and said it was a founding cybersecurity partner in Scam.org, a GASA and OpenAI platform.

Together, these announcements suggest a partnership-led approach to distributing the company’s tools. They do not, by themselves, confirm customer numbers, revenue, adoption, or measurable fraud outcomes.

The funding and product announcements do not provide independent, real-world measures of detection accuracy, false-positive rates, or losses prevented. They also do not settle current consumer pricing, geographic availability, or whether consumer features remain available under their original names. For a bank or business evaluating a tool in this category, relevant questions include which communication types and payment rails it supports, how identity checks work, how it integrates with existing workflows, and what independently validated performance data is available.

Scamnetic has also discussed patent status inconsistently across company materials: a correction said an earlier release should have described IDeveryone as patent-pending, while a later company article said its core technology had been granted a patent. The reviewed materials do not establish a grant date, patent number, or scope, so they are not enough to substantiate a specific patent claim.
