What to check on Amazon before buying
- Open the listing and confirm it is the MacBook Air with the M5 chip, not another model or chip generation.
- Check the screen size, unified memory, and SSD capacity in the selected configuration. The reported prices above apply specifically to 16GB of memory and a 512GB SSD.
- Verify the current price and stock for that exact selection, then review the price at checkout. Deal reports do not guarantee that a listing remains available at the reported price or has the same checkout terms.
The reported event dates are October 6–7, 2026. Prices and stock can change during or after that window, so treat the figures above as dated reports rather than guaranteed live offers. A preview published by Tom’s Guide on October 4 predates the October 6 price checks and is not a substitute for confirming the current listing.

How the reported 13-inch offer compares with its prior pricing
In a separate October 6 article, Macworld described the 13-inch 16GB/512GB offer at $1,099 as a return to its pre-surge pricing for Prime Day. That context concerns the reported 13-inch configuration; it does not establish the pricing history of every M5 MacBook Air option. See Macworld’s pricing discussion.
