Starting in fall 2026, Canadians can watch Saturday Night Live live on CTV or stream it live on Crave. New episodes will be available on Crave on demand the next day. Bell Media announced the deal with NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution; CTV’s schedule lists the show at 11:30 p.m. ET on Saturdays, but neither announcement gives a specific first-air date.
Where to watch SNL in Canada
| How you want to watch | Canadian outlet | Availability |
|---|---|---|
| Watch on television | CTV | Exclusive television simulcast; Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET on CTV’s Fall 2026 schedule. |
| Stream live | Crave | Live streaming, according to Bell Media’s April 13, 2026 announcement. |
| Watch later | Crave | New episodes on demand the next day, according to the same announcement. |
Bell Media announced the distribution agreement with NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution and named CTV and Crave as the Canadian outlets. The announcement describes the arrangement as exclusive for the season’s CTV simulcast and Crave live stream; it does not identify either service as a separate rights holder. (Bell Media, April 13, 2026)
When does SNL start on CTV and Crave?
The announced Canadian arrival is in fall 2026, and CTV’s Fall 2026 schedule lists SNL on Saturdays at 11:30 p.m. ET. The schedule does not specify the first episode’s Canadian broadcast date, so 11:30 p.m. ET is the regular listed slot—not a confirmed premiere date. (CTV Fall 2026 schedule, August 31, 2026)

Bell Media identifies the returning run as the show’s 52nd season. Its April announcement says new episodes will be available on Crave on demand the next day, but does not provide a precise posting time. (Bell Media, April 13, 2026)
Can you stream SNL live without cable?
Crave is the announced live-streaming route, so the arrangement gives viewers a streaming option alongside CTV’s television simulcast. However, Bell Media’s announcement does not say which Crave plan includes the live stream, what it costs, whether a particular account or subscription is required, or whether cable is needed. Check Crave’s current plan and availability details before subscribing; the announcement alone does not establish eligibility.

The change is the Canadian distribution home: CTV will carry the exclusive television simulcast, while Crave will carry the live stream and next-day on-demand episodes. Bell Media’s announcement calls the services the new Canadian home of the show. For background, the company says Saturday Night Live premiered on October 11, 1975, and is produced by Universal Television and Broadway Video in association with SNL Studios. Lorne Michaels is its creator and an executive producer. (Bell Media, April 13, 2026; Bell Media, 2026–27 acquisitions announcement)
