There is no single public SAP Business One price for India in the available SAP materials. One provider, TEKROI, lists indicative cloud subscriptions from ₹79,999 a month for 10 users and a worked perpetual-license example totaling about ₹19,50,000 in year one before annual maintenance. Those are provider-specific examples, not official SAP list prices or market averages. Whether SAP Business One is expensive for your company depends on the license mix, implementation scope, hosting, support, and how long you plan to use it.

How much does SAP Business One cost in India?

TEKROI’s India pricing page, last reviewed on 15 August 2026, gives the following indicative examples. The provider says final pricing is confirmed against scope in a quotation, and the figures exclude GST.

Option TEKROI example What the example includes or assumes
Cloud subscription ₹79,999 per month for 10 users TEKROI says its subscription covers licenses, hosting, implementation, and support.
Cloud subscription ₹1,14,999 per month for 15 users TEKROI says its subscription covers licenses, hosting, implementation, and support.
Cloud subscription ₹1,49,999 per month for 20 users TEKROI says its subscription covers licenses, hosting, implementation, and support.
Perpetual licenses Approximately ₹10,00,000 TEKROI’s example covers 2 Professional and 8 Limited users.
Implementation with perpetual licenses ₹9,50,000 TEKROI’s example is a six-week, fixed-scope project using standard modules for one legal entity.
Perpetual example, year one About ₹19,50,000 before annual maintenance TEKROI’s total combines the example license and implementation prices; hosting is separate.
Annual maintenance ₹1,70,000 a year in the example TEKROI calculates this as 17% of its example license price. This is not established as a universal SAP rate.

TEKROI also lists a minimum one-year term for its subscription plans. Its figures are not a universal India price schedule: the provider says license prices and discounts vary with the number and mix of licenses, and its examples are subject to quotation. See TEKROI’s SAP Business One pricing in India and its SAP Business One FAQ for the stated inclusions and terms.

Is SAP Business One expensive?

It can be a substantial project commitment, but the available examples do not support a blanket yes or no. A monthly subscription bundles several costs into a recurring payment; the perpetual example puts more cost up front and leaves hosting separate, with annual maintenance listed in addition. These examples are not enough to show which option is cheaper for every company, particularly over several years.

Judge affordability against the total cost for your intended ownership period, not the license line alone. Compare proposals using matching assumptions for users and roles, legal entities, implementation deliverables, migration, database and hosting, integrations, support, taxes, and contract duration.

What changes the total cost?

License model and user mix

Subscription and perpetual licensing have different payment patterns. The TEKROI perpetual example uses a combination of Professional and Limited users; the number and mix affect its price. Ask the provider to identify each license type and role rather than quote only a user count.

Implementation scope

TEKROI’s ₹9,50,000 implementation example specifies six weeks, standard modules, and one legal entity. It describes discovery, configuration, migration, training, user acceptance testing, and go-live as part of that scope. It says additional legal entities, non-standard modules, and custom development are quoted separately. Treat those boundaries as specific to the example and have every proposal list deliverables and exclusions.

Hosting, hardware, and database

TEKROI says hosting is included in its subscription example but separate for its perpetual example. SAP documents both cloud and on-premises deployment choices; that does not mean the choices carry identical service bundles or prices. TEKROI discusses SQL Server and SAP HANA as database options and notes that its HANA cost example depends on database memory and hardware. Confirm the actual database, infrastructure, hosting responsibility, and related charges in your proposal.

Maintenance, support, and upgrades

Do not treat SAP maintenance and a partner’s application-management services as interchangeable. SAP says customers with a valid maintenance agreement receive support benefits and access to software upgrades and updates. The price and scope of a particular agreement depend on the buyer’s contract. Ask separately what the partner will provide after go-live, how support is delivered, and what either arrangement costs.

Extensions, integrations, and localization

SAP says partner extensions add capabilities and are built, sold, and supported by SAP partners. Identify only the extensions and integrations your workflows require, then ask who licenses, implements, and supports each one. TEKROI lists GST returns and e-invoicing localization, bank integrations, and WhatsApp delivery among the items included in its subscription offer; verify that each required function is covered in your own quote.

Tax and contract terms

TEKROI says its listed prices exclude GST and its subscription has a minimum one-year term. Check the tax treatment, billing frequency, renewal terms, and any commitments in the proposal you receive rather than assuming the example terms apply to other providers.

Cloud subscription or perpetual license: how should you compare?

The right comparison is between complete proposals, not labels. In TEKROI’s examples, the subscription bundles licensing, hosting, implementation, and support into monthly pricing, while the perpetual example has an upfront license and implementation charge, separate hosting, and an annual-maintenance figure. Your actual costs depend on the service scope and contract you are offered.

  • Cash flow: compare the upfront payments with recurring subscription charges over the period you expect to use the system.
  • Included services: list implementation, hosting, support, and upgrades separately; confirm what is bundled and what is excluded.
  • Scope: use the same user roles, legal entities, migration requirements, integrations, and custom-development assumptions in each quote.
  • Longer-term costs: include maintenance, hosting or hardware, ongoing support, taxes, and renewals over your planned ownership period.

No price example here establishes that cloud subscription or perpetual licensing is generally cheaper. The answer turns on your infrastructure and support costs as well as the provider’s actual offer.

How to get a useful SAP Business One quote in India

SAP says Business One is sold, implemented, and supported through its partner network. Its India partner finder can help you locate providers; a listing is not an endorsement of a particular price or service quality.

  1. Define the scope. Record user count and roles, legal entities, processes and modules, data to migrate, integrations, and required localizations.
  2. Request at least two itemized proposals. Ask each provider to price the same scope and identify license types, implementation deliverables, exclusions, and any extra work.
  3. Separate one-time and recurring charges. Get distinct figures for licenses, implementation, database and hosting, maintenance, support, extensions, taxes, and renewals.
  4. Check service and term details. Ask how long implementation takes, what support covers after go-live, which upgrades are covered by maintenance, and the subscription or renewal period.
  5. Compare total cost over your evaluation period. Add the initial and recurring charges using the same assumptions for every proposal, and confirm unclear items in writing.

SAP states that valid maintenance agreements provide support benefits and access to updates, and that SAP provides at least five years of mainstream maintenance for a release family. That is general maintenance context, not a quote for your contract or a promise about a partner’s service. See SAP’s Business One support information for its official terms and channel context.
