A deal report put the 27-inch Samsung Odyssey QD-OLED G8 G81SF at $665, down from a stated $1,300 MSRP, during October Prime Big Deal Days. That is a reported 49% discount—not a currently verified offer. The live Amazon listing, seller, stock, and checkout price were not confirmed, so check those details before buying.
What the deal report says
A syndicated page that appears to reproduce a dated Verge deal item named the monitor as the Samsung Odyssey QD-OLED G8 G81SF, a 27-inch model. It reported an Amazon Prime Big Deal Days price of $665 against a stated $1,300 MSRP, describing the reduction as 49% off. The original Verge article and the Amazon listing were not independently confirmed, so treat the price and availability as a report rather than a live deal.
To check whether the offer is still available, search Amazon for Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 G81SF 27-inch 240Hz QD-OLED gaming monitor. Confirm that the listing is for the exact G81SF model, then check the seller, stock, checkout price, and return terms. A headline or search result alone does not establish that the same price is available now.
Check the model number before comparing specs
Samsung sells several monitors with similar Odyssey names, but their specifications are not interchangeable. The deal report identifies the G81SF as a QD-OLED 240Hz monitor; beyond that description, the available evidence does not establish the G81SF’s detailed specifications. In particular, do not assume that an official Samsung page for another G6 or G8 provides the G81SF’s resolution, ports, brightness, or other features.

| Odyssey G6 G61SH | Samsung’s February 1, 2026 announcement lists QD-OLED, QHD, 240Hz, 0.03ms GTG, HDR10+ Gaming, and NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible. | It is a different model, not proof of the G81SF’s specifications. |
| Odyssey OLED G6 G61SD | Samsung’s product page lists a 27-inch QHD, 240Hz option; it was marked out of stock when accessed. | It is a separate 240Hz G6 variant. |

What to verify before buying
- Exact model: The product title or model details should say G81SF, not G61SH, G61SD, G60SD, or G80SH.
- Checkout total: Confirm the final price in the cart; the reported $665 offer may no longer be available.
- Seller and stock: Check who is selling the monitor and whether it is in stock before placing an order.
- Return terms: Review the listing’s current return policy, especially if the price or seller differs from the deal report.
- Specifications: Use a G81SF-specific Samsung product page or listing for details not established by the deal report. Similar model names are not a substitute.
How the Samsung alternatives differ
If you are considering a nearby model instead, compare the exact model number and the features Samsung actually lists. The G61SH is the specifically documented 27-inch QHD, 240Hz QD-OLED G6, while the G60SD is a QHD, 360Hz G6. The G80SH is a larger, 32-inch 4K QD-OLED G8 with its own listed features. None of those specifications should be transferred to the G81SF.

Samsung’s 2026 lineup announcement also attributes an 18.8% global revenue share in gaming monitors above 144Hz to IDC, without specifying the year of the statistic. Samsung says it is on track to hold its position for a seventh consecutive year. That company announcement is not an independent G81SF product test, and the market-share figure does not verify this deal’s price or performance.
