The Samsung ViewFinity S6 S65TC (model LS34C650TANXGO) was reported at Amazon for $399.99, down from $799.99, in a deal published October 8, 2026. That is a dated offer, not a confirmed live price. Its standout extra is Thunderbolt 4 connectivity with up to 90W power delivery, which can connect and charge a laptop while giving it access to peripherals plugged into the monitor.

What the reported deal includes

PCWorld’s October 8, 2026 deal report put the S65TC at $399.99 on Amazon, compared with a $799.99 list price—a 50% discount at the time of that report. Samsung’s US product page lists the exact model, LS34C650TANXGO, at $799.99. Amazon’s price and availability can change, so check the listing before buying.

Make sure the listing is for the S65TC, model LS34C650TANXGO. Samsung sells other 34-inch ViewFinity monitors, and their features may differ. Samsung’s US product page identifies this model and lists its Ultra-WQHD resolution and 100Hz refresh rate.

How the monitor works as a dock

Connect a compatible laptop through the monitor’s Thunderbolt 4 connection. The monitor can deliver up to 90W of power to charge the laptop, while peripherals connected to the monitor can be used by that computer. This setup can reduce cable clutter and may let you leave a separate dock off your desk if the monitor’s connections meet your needs.

The S65TC also has a built-in KVM feature. With compatible connected computers and peripherals, it can let one keyboard and mouse work across the computers. That is useful for a desk shared between, for example, a work laptop and a personal computer. It does not mean the monitor replaces every dock: check that the ports and setup support the devices you need.

What you get on screen

The 34-inch display uses a 21:9 aspect ratio and Ultra-WQHD resolution, giving you a wider desktop for side-by-side windows than a conventional widescreen monitor. Samsung lists a 100Hz refresh rate. The screen is curved at 1000R, a pronounced curve that may suit some desk setups but can feel less natural for others.

Who should consider it—and who should skip it

A good match for a laptop-focused desk

The S65TC makes the most sense if you want a broad ultrawide workspace and can use Thunderbolt 4 charging, monitor-connected peripherals, or the KVM feature. The dock function is the key value proposition: if it lets you simplify your laptop setup, the monitor may replace a separate dock in your particular arrangement.

Less suited to gaming or precision color work

PCWorld’s deal article cautions against choosing this model for serious gaming, color-critical professional creation, artwork, or CAD, citing its VA panel and 100Hz refresh rate, color accuracy, and aggressive curve. That is the article author’s evaluation, not an independent test result established here. If accurate color or high-refresh gaming is central to your work or play, compare reviews and specifications for monitors built for those needs.

Is the S65TC worth the deal price?

At the reported $399.99 offer, it is worth considering if you will use both the ultrawide display and its Thunderbolt docking features. If you will not use Thunderbolt 4, laptop charging, or the monitor’s hub and KVM capabilities, the dock-related premium is harder to justify; PCWorld’s Gabriela Vatu put it this way: “if you aren’t going to take advantage of Thunderbolt 4, you’re paying the premium tax for no benefit.” The available sources do not establish a head-to-head winner against other 34-inch monitors, so compare current prices and the connections, screen characteristics, and work or gaming requirements that matter to you.
