The lowest verified October 2026 price in the available deal coverage is $997 for Samsung’s 48-inch S85H OLED at Amazon, marked down from $1,097. The $997.99 figure in the original deal wording refers to a Sam’s Club listing whose offer had ended August 30 when the retailer page was checked, so it should not be treated as a live price.
Which Samsung OLED TV is discounted?
The deal is for the 48-inch Samsung S85H, the entry-level model in Samsung’s 2026 OLED range. It is not a price that applies to every size or series in the lineup.
Tom’s Guide listed the S85H at Amazon for $997 in October 2026, down from $1,097. Samsung’s official U.S. launch price for the 48-inch S85H was $1,199.99; that is a launch-price baseline, not a current retailer quote. The deal coverage does not establish that $997 is a historical low.

Not according to the retailer record that was checked. A Sam’s Club search result showed $997.99, reduced from $1,197.99, but the opened listing displayed an instant-savings end date of August 30. That makes it a stale offer, not a verified active October deal. Check the current retailer listing and stock before buying; prices and availability can change.

How does the S85H compare with Samsung’s other 2026 OLED tiers?
Samsung announced three OLED series for 2026: the S85H, S90H, and S95H. The S85H is the entry-level tier, the S90H is mid-range, and the S95H is the flagship in the deal coverage. Here are the relevant differences established by the available coverage:
| Model | Tier | Screen size and price detail | Screen finish |
|---|---|---|---|
| Samsung S85H | Entry-level | 48-inch model listed at Amazon for $997 in October 2026, reduced from $1,097, according to Tom’s Guide. Samsung’s U.S. launch price was $1,199.99. | Glossy |
| Samsung S90H | Mid-range | Samsung’s U.S. launch price for the 42-inch model was $1,399.99. | Glare-free, according to Tom’s Guide |

Is the discounted S85H the right choice?
The $997 Amazon listing makes the 48-inch S85H the model to compare if you want a smaller-screen OLED at the reported deal price. Its glossy screen is an important trade-off: reflections may be more noticeable in a bright room than on the S90H or S95H, which Tom’s Guide describes as having Samsung’s glare-free display. Consider the room’s lighting as well as the price and screen size when choosing between tiers.

How to check the price before buying
- Open the current Amazon listing for the 48-inch Samsung S85H and confirm the price, seller, and stock. The $997 figure is Tom’s Guide’s October 2026 listing, not a guarantee of today’s price.
- Compare the S85H offer with current OLED listings at Amazon, Walmart, and Best Buy. Tom’s Guide recommends checking multiple retailers because no single retailer always has the best offer.
- Review the final price and delivery details at checkout. Do not rely on the expired Sam’s Club result as evidence of an active $997.99 offer.
