Samsung Wallet is reportedly offering eligible US users up to $300 back on qualifying purchases made with its Installment Payments feature from October 1 through October 31, 2026. The top reward requires a purchase of at least $1,000, an eligible card, approval, and successful repayment of the installment plan. It is an account-dependent financing promotion—not a guaranteed cash-back benefit for every Wallet user.
What the reported offer pays
Doctor of Credit’s October 2, 2026 report lists four reward tiers, based on the purchase amount:

The thresholds create sizable jumps: a purchase of $250 enters the $75 tier, while $1,000 reaches the $300 tier. These are reported offer terms, not typical savings or a promise that every user can claim the promotion. The reported offer period is October 1–31, 2026. Doctor of Credit’s report and SammyGuru’s October 8 report describe the same tier amounts.

Who may qualify—and where to check
Reports say the promotion is being surfaced to selected users, including by email, rather than through a public offer page. Open Samsung Wallet and check its promotions or perks area for the offer and a possible “Claim Offer” button. Whether it appears depends on the account; seeing it in another person’s Wallet does not establish that you are eligible. Doctor of Credit and SammyGuru report these access details.

The reporting also describes these conditions:
- You must use Samsung Wallet’s Installment Payments feature and obtain an installment loan; paying in full does not qualify.
- The purchase must be made with an eligible Visa or Mastercard issued by a participating bank. JPMorgan Chase-issued credit cards were reported as unsupported when the promotion was covered.
- An eligibility check and approval apply, and the plan must be successfully repaid. Canceled or charged-back plans reportedly do not qualify.
- SammyGuru lists Alabama, California, Delaware, Hawaii, Indiana, Massachusetts, Mississippi, Ohio, South Carolina, and Virginia, as well as Guam, Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands, as excluded. This is secondary reporting; confirm geographic eligibility in the offer terms shown to you.
The complete official promotion terms were not located in the reporting. Treat the terms displayed in your own Wallet offer—and the lender’s disclosures—as controlling before you commit.
How to claim it without confusing it with other Wallet offers
- Open Samsung Wallet and look under promotions or perks. If the installment promotion is displayed, open it and review the full offer terms before claiming.
- Confirm that your location and card are eligible, and check the financing provider’s approval requirements, APR, fees, repayment schedule, and other disclosures.
- If you decide to proceed, use Installment Payments as directed by the offer and complete the purchase under its stated conditions.
- Repay the plan successfully. The reported terms exclude pay-in-full purchases and plans that are canceled or charged back.
Samsung’s US Wallet FAQ explains a general merchant cash-back flow: choose an offer, review its terms, tap “Earn Cash Back,” then shop through the provided link on your phone. It says a purchase started on the phone must also be completed there through that link. That FAQ is about merchant cash-back offers, however; it does not establish the exact claim or purchase-tracking process for this installment promotion. Work out whether the reward is worth financing
The reward is only one part of the calculation. Splitit is identified in the reporting as the financing provider, but the plan is subject to terms and approval, with APR or fees depending on state. Samsung is described as not being the lender. The reports do not establish a universal borrowing cost, repayment schedule, or the detailed consequences of a missed payment, so inspect the specific offer and Splitit disclosures rather than assuming the plan is free.

- Compare the total financing cost, including applicable APR and fees, with the reward for your actual purchase tier.
- Check when payments are due and whether the schedule fits your budget.
- Do not increase a purchase or borrow more just to cross a reward threshold. A larger reward may not offset the cost of extra spending or financing.
- Before proceeding, understand what the terms say about missed payments, cancellations, and returns; the available reports do not provide enough detail to state those consequences for every plan.
