Samsung’s Galaxy S26 prices were reported higher online in the US on October 1, 2026: the 256GB S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra each rose by $100, while the 1TB S26 Ultra rose by $200. The S26 FE was reported unchanged. These are dated reported prices, not guaranteed checkout totals; retailer offers and live listings can differ.
Reported US Galaxy S26 prices after the October change
Tom’s Guide reported the following US online prices on October 1, 2026. The earlier figures below are the prices reported before the change, not Samsung’s original February launch MSRPs.
| Model and storage | Earlier reported price | Price reported October 1, 2026 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S26, 256GB | $899 | $999 | +$100 |
| Galaxy S26, 512GB | $1,099 | $1,199 | +$100 |
| Galaxy S26+, 256GB | $1,099 | $1,199 | +$100 |
| Galaxy S26+, 512GB | $1,299 | $1,399 | +$100 |
| Galaxy S26 Ultra, 256GB | $1,299 | $1,399 | +$100 |
| Galaxy S26 Ultra, 512GB | $1,499 | $1,599 | +$100 |
| Galaxy S26 Ultra, 1TB | $1,799 | $1,999 | +$200 |
| Galaxy S26 FE | $699 | $699 | No change |
The configuration prices and increases in this table are from Tom’s Guide’s October 1, 2026 report. Android Central separately reported the $100 increases on 256GB and 512GB models and the $200 increase for the 1TB Ultra, while noting that Amazon, Target, and Walmart had not changed their prices at the time of its article (Android Central, October 1, 2026). That retailer observation is time-sensitive and does not establish today’s listing prices.

Samsung’s US launch announcement on February 25, 2026 listed starting prices of $899.99 for the Galaxy S26, $1,099.99 for the S26+, and $1,299.99 for the S26 Ultra. Those are original starting MSRPs, stated in dollars and cents; they are not the rounded earlier online prices in the table above. Samsung said general availability began March 11, 2026. The distinction matters when comparing prices: launch starting MSRP, a later online listing, and a retailer’s promotional or trade-in-adjusted offer are different figures. The launch starting prices also do not provide a complete launch-price comparison for every storage configuration.
Which countries were reported to have higher prices?
GSMArena reported finding higher prices on Samsung stores in the US, Canada, the UK, mainland Europe, and India. It did not check every region, so this list should not be read as a complete account of Samsung pricing worldwide. The report is regional in scope and does not establish that every S26 model or storage tier changed by the same amount in each market. (GSMArena, October 1, 2026)

What to check before buying
Because a dated online price report is not a live quote, compare the exact offer you can purchase rather than relying on a headline price alone. Check:
- Model and storage: Confirm whether the listing is for the S26, S26+, S26 Ultra, or S26 FE, and verify the storage capacity.
- Seller and current listing: Check the price on the retailer’s own product page and again at checkout; listings can change after publication.
- Promotions and trade-ins: Separate the advertised device price from conditional trade-in credits, promotional discounts, or carrier bill credits.
- Contract and lock conditions: See whether an offer requires a carrier plan, installment agreement, or locked device.
- Regional taxes: Compare totals on the same tax basis, since displayed prices and checkout totals may differ by location.
Has Samsung explained the October price increase?
The reviewed reporting establishes the reported price changes, but it does not provide a Samsung explanation for the October adjustment. Earlier discussion of memory or component costs around launch does not establish the cause of these later online price changes. Treat any proposed reason as unconfirmed unless Samsung or a clearly attributed source states it directly.
