Samsung’s reported U.S. price increases happened in waves, not as one blanket repricing: selected Galaxy tablets and older phones rose in April 2026, followed by Galaxy S26 and A-series models in October. The increases vary by model and storage, and the October changes have been reported from retail listings rather than announced in a Samsung U.S. price notice.
Which Galaxy prices changed in October 2026?
Tom’s Guide reported higher U.S. prices for selected Galaxy S26 configurations in October 2026. The table shows the prior and reported new prices for the same storage tier; it does not compare sale prices.
| Model and storage | Prior U.S. price | Reported new U.S. price | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Galaxy S26, 256GB | $899 | $999 | $100 |
| Galaxy S26, 512GB | not stated in the report | $1,199 | not stated in the report |
| Galaxy S26+, 256GB | $1,099 | $1,199 | $100 |
| Galaxy S26+, 512GB | not stated in the report | $1,399 | not stated in the report |
| Galaxy S26 Ultra, 256GB | $1,299 | $1,399 | $100 |
| Galaxy S26 Ultra, 512GB | not stated in the report | $1,599 | not stated in the report |
| Galaxy S26 Ultra, 1TB | not stated in the report | $1,999 | $200 increase |
| Galaxy S26 FE | $699 at launch | $699 | No change reported |
The figures are from Tom’s Guide’s October 2026 report. Where the report gives a new price but not the earlier price for a storage tier, the comparison is not established here.
Galaxy A-series increases varied by model and capacity
9to5Google reported October 2026 U.S. price increases of $20 to $70 across the Galaxy A57, A37, A27, and A17. Its listed examples are:

Are the new Tab S12 prices also price increases?
No. Samsung announced the Tab S12 Ultra and Tab S12+ as new U.S. models available beginning October 7, 2026, with starting prices of $1,399.99 and $1,199.99, respectively. Those are launch prices for new products, not evidence that Samsung raised the price of an existing tablet. Samsung lists a 14.6-inch display for the Ultra and a 12.6-inch display for the S12+; both include an S Pen. The Pro Keyboard and Book Cover Keyboard Slim are sold separately. Details are in Samsung’s U.S. Newsroom announcement.

Why did Samsung raise the prices?
The available reporting does not establish a public Samsung explanation for all of the U.S. increases. Tom’s Guide said Samsung had not issued a statement on the April changes, and the October reports describe prices found in retail listings rather than a Samsung announcement explaining the adjustments.
Rising memory and component costs are industry context cited in reporting, not a confirmed Samsung rationale for every model or market. The Asia Business Daily, reporting on South Korea, cited TrendForce forecasts for Q4 2026 that standard DRAM contract prices would rise 10–15% quarter over quarter and NAND flash prices 15–20%. Those are forecasts about component markets, not Samsung retail-price data, and they do not establish why any specific U.S. phone or tablet changed price. The Asia Business Daily’s report concerns Korean-market changes and should not be read as a U.S. price list.

How to check a Galaxy price accurately
Samsung promotions and retailer discounts can make the amount at checkout differ from a reported listed price. Samsung’s offers page includes promotions with validity windows, some of which ended October 7, 2026; a temporary deal should not be treated as a permanent reduction or as proof that the list price changed. Check the terms and date on Samsung’s U.S. offers page.
