The Samsung P9 Express 512GB is a microSD Express card rated for sequential reads of up to 800 MB/s in SD Express mode. That is a manufacturer maximum measured on a PCIe test board—not a speed every device will deliver. Samsung also lists UHS-I reads up to 90 MB/s, so the interface supported by your device matters as much as the card. The advertised $104.48 price and 30% discount are not verified by the available Samsung pricing references.
What the Samsung P9 Express 512GB offers
Samsung’s US product page identifies the 512GB microSDXC card as model MB-MK512T/AM. Its listed interfaces are PCIe Gen 3.0 x1, NVMe 1.3, SD 7.1, and UHS-I. Samsung lists U3, V30, and A1 speed classes; its datasheet also identifies Class 10.
The card-only weight is approximately 0.25 g, according to Samsung Semiconductor’s datasheet. That figure describes weight, not a comparative advantage: the available specifications do not establish that it is lighter or faster than competing cards in its class.

Will it reach 800 MB/s in your device?
Only in the right conditions. Samsung rates sequential reads at up to 800 MB/s in SD Express mode, based on the 512GB card tested with a PCIe test board. Samsung cautions that actual performance varies with the host device, interface, usage conditions, and other factors. The figure is a maximum manufacturer rating, not an independently verified real-world result or a guaranteed transfer rate.

Samsung also lists sequential reads up to 90 MB/s in UHS-I mode. A device with a microSD slot is not necessarily SD Express-compatible, and a card operating in UHS-I mode will not use the SD Express headline rating.
Check the device, not just the slot
Samsung names mobile phones, tablets, action cameras, drones, laptops, and gaming consoles as device categories for microSDXC use. That broad list does not confirm compatibility for every model or establish SD Express support. Before buying, check the device maker’s specifications for microSDXC compatibility and, specifically, SD Express support if you want the higher interface’s performance.

For a Nintendo Switch 2 or any other particular console, verify the current device requirements directly rather than assuming that a microSDXC slot or a general category listing guarantees SD Express operation.
Is $104.48 really a 30% discount?
The exact $104.48 offer and 30% reduction are not established by the available pricing sources. Samsung’s US launch announcement listed a $99.99 MSRP for the 512GB model; that is launch pricing, not a current street price. A Samsung US product listing surfaced at $149.99, and Samsung says prices and promotions may change. Those references do not verify the advertised price, its date, or the comparison price used to calculate the discount.

Check the live retailer, market, stock, and price history before treating $104.48 as a current deal. A percentage discount is meaningful only when its reference price and timing are clear.
Is 512GB the right capacity?
Choose capacity based on the files and games you expect to keep on the card and whether the device supports that capacity. Samsung notes that usable space can be lower than the label because storage-control and system files use part of the card. The available sources do not establish a competitor ranking or show whether 512GB is the best value at a given current price.

- Warranty coverage for the way you plan to use the card.
Warranty and intended use
Samsung’s datasheet states a three-year limited warranty. Samsung Canada’s product details exclude dashcam, CCTV, surveillance-camera, and other write-intensive uses from warranty coverage. Warranty terms can vary by market, so check the terms that apply where you buy the card and for your intended workload.
