Samsung opened reservations for the Galaxy S25 series ahead of Galaxy Unpacked on January 22, 2025. The limited-time U.S. offer promised a $50 Samsung Credit to customers who reserved an eligible Galaxy device and then preordered and purchased that reserved device. The phones went on preorder January 22, with general availability starting February 7, 2025.
When did Galaxy S25 reservations open?
Samsung tied the reservation campaign to its January 22, 2025 Galaxy Unpacked event. Its invitation said customers could reserve starting January 22 for a credit toward the latest Galaxy device during the preorder period. The invitation also offered entry for a chance to win a $5,000 Samsung gift card; that was a chance-based promotion, not a guaranteed reservation benefit. Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked invitation
What did reserving a Galaxy S25 get you?
For a limited time, customers who reserved an eligible Galaxy device on Samsung.com or in the Shop Samsung app and then preordered and purchased that reserved device could receive a $50 Samsung Credit. A reservation by itself did not earn the credit: Samsung’s terms tied it to completing the preorder and purchase. The promotion was a historical 2025 offer, not a current incentive. Which Galaxy S25 model should you consider?
The launch lineup consisted of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+ and Galaxy S25 Ultra. Samsung’s launch announcement does not provide a complete model-by-model comparison of price, display size, camera hardware, storage or trade-in value, so those factors should be checked against current listings before choosing.
- Galaxy S25: The standard model in the three-phone lineup.
- Galaxy S25+: The middle model in the lineup.
- Galaxy S25 Ultra: The top-named model in the lineup; Samsung listed Amazon among its preorder retailers.
Samsung said the series would receive seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates from the global launch date. That support commitment is a useful long-term consideration, alongside each model’s current price and specifications. Samsung’s U.S. launch announcement
