Samsung One UI 8 is an official stable update, not just a leak. Samsung began its rollout with the Galaxy S25 series in September 2025, but whether it is available for your phone depends on the exact model, country, and carrier. To check, open Settings > Software update > Download and install. Samsung’s documented consumer update route is through device settings; the sources cited here do not establish a public Samsung firmware-file download.
Is Samsung One UI 8 available?
Yes. Samsung announced the official rollout on September 15, 2025, beginning with the Galaxy S25 series that week. The company said other eligible Galaxy devices would follow. Its announcement described a planned rollout, not a guarantee that every listed device in every country would receive the update on the same date. Samsung’s rollout announcement sets out the original scope.
Samsung’s Canada support guide, last updated July 16, 2026, lists models sold in Canada that have received or are expected to receive One UI 8. It does not establish a universal schedule for other markets. Samsung Canada’s One UI 8 guide is the relevant list for Canadian devices.

Which Galaxy devices are eligible?
Eligibility depends on the exact device and region. Samsung’s 2025 rollout announcement named the following families and models as part of its planned scope for that year; inclusion does not mean each device updated at once or that availability is identical worldwide.

Samsung’s later Canada guide also identifies One UI 8 devices introduced with the software: Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, Z Flip7 FE, S25 FE, Tab S11 Ultra, and Tab S11. It lists additional Galaxy S, Z, Tab S, and selected A models as released with or expected to receive the update. Check the guide for your Canadian model rather than treating either list as a promise of immediate availability.
Samsung says model, carrier, and network can affect settings and availability. Unlocked devices typically receive updates sooner; carrier-locked models may wait for carrier review or customization. A missing update can therefore reflect rollout timing rather than an installation problem.

How to download and install One UI 8
- Connect your Galaxy phone or tablet to the internet and open Settings.
- Tap Software update. Some devices may label this menu System updates.
- Tap Download and install. If Samsung has made an update available to your device, follow the on-screen download and installation prompts; some models show an additional Download now or Install now option.
Samsung says eligible devices ordinarily receive a notification when an update is ready, but it can be normal not to see one yet. Menu names and steps can vary slightly by model or carrier. If the update is not offered, check again later and confirm availability for your model and market with Samsung’s support guide.

Can you download a One UI 8 firmware file?
The official consumer installation instructions documented by Samsung use the device’s built-in software update screen. Samsung’s historical beta announcement directed participants to sign up through the Samsung Members app, but that was a beta program, not the stable-update installation route. The available official sources do not establish a public Samsung firmware-file download for consumers, so do not treat an unofficial firmware mirror as a Samsung download or as an endorsed installation method.
The beta announcement was published on August 5, 2025. It planned beta availability beginning the week of August 11 for Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold6, and Z Flip6 in India, Korea, the U.K., and the U.S., with possible expansion to additional models. Those dates and signup details are historical and do not describe how to install the stable release today. Samsung’s beta announcement records that earlier program.
