Samsung’s Odyssey OLED G6 G60SF is a 27-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor with a 500Hz refresh rate and QHD resolution. Samsung announced it in May 2025; preorder and launch availability were later announced for specific regions, so the original “up for preorder” wording does not establish current availability. Check Samsung or local retailers for today’s stock and price.
What is the Samsung Odyssey OLED G6 G60SF?
The G60SF is Samsung’s 27-inch QD-OLED gaming monitor. Its combination of a 500Hz refresh rate and 2,560 × 1,440-pixel QHD resolution is the defining specification: it targets high-refresh-rate PC gaming while retaining more pixels than a typical 1080p display. Samsung announced the monitor globally on May 11, 2025, describing it as the world’s first 500Hz OLED gaming monitor. Samsung’s announcement is the source for that claim and the core specifications.
Samsung lists a 0.03ms gray-to-gray (GTG) response time, VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible support, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro support. These are manufacturer specifications and feature claims, not independent measurements or a review of real-world performance.

1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesWhat do 500Hz, QHD, and 0.03ms mean?
- 500Hz: The stated refresh rate means the display can refresh up to 500 times per second. To make use of that rate, a computer and game must be able to produce a correspondingly high frame rate; the monitor specification alone does not guarantee it.
- QHD: The 2,560 × 1,440 resolution has more pixels than Full HD (1,920 × 1,080), while demanding less graphics throughput than 4K (3,840 × 2,160) at the same frame rate. The trade-off matters most when aiming for very high frame rates in demanding games.
- 0.03ms GTG: This is Samsung’s stated gray-to-gray pixel response-time specification. GTG describes a pixel transition; it is not the same as input lag or a measurement of the whole system’s end-to-end response.
- Adaptive sync: Samsung lists compatibility with both NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro, technologies intended to coordinate display refresh with graphics output. The announcement does not provide a measured performance comparison.
Which additional features did Samsung list?
Samsung Korea’s May 12, 2025 announcement also lists peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits, HDR10+ Gaming, Glare Free, and OLED Safeguard+. These details are attributed to Samsung Korea; feature descriptions can vary between regional product listings. See Samsung Korea’s announcement for its regional feature information.

What is established—and what is not?
Samsung’s published specifications establish the advertised resolution, refresh rate, panel type, response-time figure, and named adaptive-sync support. They do not establish how the monitor performs in independent testing or whether it is better than a particular competing monitor. A useful comparison should check resolution, panel type, stated response time, adaptive-sync support, local price, and current availability side by side.
Samsung Electronics America also cited Circana, LLC Retail Tracking Service for claims that Samsung led US gaming-designed monitor dollar sales from January 2022 through December 2024, and US OLED gaming-designed monitor dollar and unit sales from January through December 2024. Those are Samsung’s claims citing Circana, not an independent assessment of the G60SF’s performance.
