Samsung introduced two new Wi-Fi speakers at CES 2026: the Music Studio 5, designed as a smaller, lifestyle-oriented model, and the Music Studio 7, which Samsung positions for more immersive audio. Both share a circular “Dot Design” credited to designer Erwan Bouroullec. Samsung lists Dolby Atmos support and a 3.1.1-channel layout for the Music Studio 7; its announcement does not assign that same channel layout to the Music Studio 5.
What are Samsung’s new Music Studio speakers?
The Music Studio 5 and Music Studio 7 are Wi-Fi speakers Samsung presents for music, podcasts and TV audio. The company also says they connect over Bluetooth and support Spotify Tap; setup and service requirements may apply. Samsung’s lineup announcement is at Samsung Newsroom.
The common visual element is the Dot Design: a circular, cone-inspired front motif with perforations Samsung says also serve an acoustic purpose. Samsung credits the design to Erwan Bouroullec. These are the company’s design and product descriptions, not independent materials or sound assessments.
What is the difference between Music Studio 5 and Music Studio 7?

Samsung’s design account explains that the 5 emphasizes forward-focused sound, while the 7’s multi-sided perforations express its multi-channel arrangement. Those explanations describe Samsung’s design intent; they do not establish how either speaker performs in a particular room.

What do SpaceFit Sound Pro and Q-Symphony do?
Samsung says SpaceFit Sound Pro tailors audio to room dimensions. The company also describes Q-Symphony as a way to pair compatible Samsung audio devices with a Samsung TV, but eligibility depends on the TV and connected-device generation.
- For Q-Symphony, Samsung’s interview says a compatible Samsung TV from 2022 or later is required.
- Samsung says its five-device Q-Symphony configuration requires a 2023-or-later TV as well as specified later Samsung audio devices. Check Samsung’s compatibility list for the exact models before planning a setup.
The compatibility details come from a Samsung Newsroom interview published July 2, 2026: Samsung’s Music Studio 7 engineering and design interview. A Samsung TV alone does not guarantee that every Q-Symphony arrangement will work.

What has Samsung said about Music Studio 7’s engineering?
Samsung says development and validation of the Music Studio 7 took nearly two years. In the July 2, 2026 interview, Jongbae Kim of Samsung’s Sound Lab described the design challenge this way: “To create a sense of space from a single device, it is essential to control each channel so that sounds do not blend together. The ‘Waveguide’ and ‘Pattern Control’ technologies applied to Music Studio 7 are core technologies for spatial audio sound.”

That is Samsung’s explanation of its engineering approach, not an independent listening test or measurement. CES lists the Music Studio 7 as a 2026 Innovation Awards Honoree in Audio/Video Components & Accessories; the designation is an award listing, not evidence of comparative performance testing. A Samsung Canada product page identifies the Music Studio 7 as HW-LS70H and displayed “Not for sale” in the captured page content. That Canadian page state does not establish availability in the United States or elsewhere. The available descriptions come from Samsung and CES; they do not include independent comparative listening results. Treat claims about room-filling sound, spatial audio and product performance as manufacturer descriptions until independent testing is available.
