The headline specifications in the Galaxy Z TriFold leak were accurate: Samsung later confirmed a 10.0-inch unfolded main display and a 200MP main camera. The leak was reported on November 13, 2025; Samsung announced the phone on December 2, 2025. The final specifications also clarify what the headline leaves out: the TriFold has a separate 6.5-inch cover screen, a Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy, and a 5,600mAh battery. Its U.S. launch price was $2,899, but Samsung’s U.S. product page currently lists the limited-run phone as sold out.
What the leak got right—and when Samsung confirmed it
Tom’s Guide reported on November 13, 2025, that specifications attributed to Evan Blass and WitDisplay via Ice Universe pointed to a 10-inch inner screen and a 200MP main camera. Samsung subsequently confirmed both details in its December 2, 2025 announcement of the Galaxy Z TriFold. The original report is available from Tom’s Guide; Samsung’s confirmed specifications are in its launch announcement.
The distinction matters: the screen and camera figures were leaks at first, but they are no longer unverified claims. Other pre-launch guesses about timing, price, chipset, availability, and dimensions should not be treated as confirmed specifications; Samsung’s announcements supply the final details.
Galaxy Z TriFold confirmed specifications
Two displays for folded and unfolded use
Samsung specifies a 10.0-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X main screen for use when the phone is fully unfolded. It has a 2160 × 1584 resolution, 269 pixels per inch, peak brightness up to 1,600 nits, and an adaptive refresh rate of 1–120Hz. The separate 6.5-inch cover screen is FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X, with 2520 × 1080 resolution, 422 ppi, peak brightness up to 2,600 nits, and adaptive 1–120Hz refresh.

In practical terms, the 10-inch panel is the larger workspace; the cover display is the screen available while the device is folded. Samsung describes multi-window use and productivity on the larger display, but those are product-positioning claims rather than independent assessments of how well particular workflows perform.
Camera, processor, and battery
The rear main camera is a 200MP wide-angle unit with Quad Pixel AF, optical image stabilization, an f/1.7 aperture, and an 85-degree field of view. That is more specific than the leaked shorthand “200MP main camera,” but megapixel count alone does not establish overall camera quality. Samsung’s announcement does not turn the number into a comparative camera test.

Samsung lists a customized Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy and a 5,600mAh three-cell battery. Capacity is a specification, not a battery-life result: the sources cited here do not establish an independently measured TriFold endurance figure. Tom’s Guide also noted in its comparison with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 that it had not tested the TriFold’s battery endurance at that point.
Dimensions and weight
Samsung gives folded dimensions of 159.2 × 75.0 × 12.9 mm and a weight of 309 g. Unfolded, it measures 159.2 × 214.1 mm; thickness varies by panel from approximately 3.9 to 4.2 mm. Samsung’s thickness footnote excludes the camera and pre-installed protective film. The 309 g weight and folded thickness are relevant trade-offs for anyone comparing a large unfolded workspace with everyday pocketability.

U.S. price, availability, and current stock status
Samsung Electronics America announced U.S. availability beginning January 30, 2026, at a starting price of $2,899. That U.S. launch configuration was Crafted Black with 512GB of storage. These are U.S.-specific launch details, not a worldwide price or proof of current stock. Samsung’s U.S. product page currently says the limited-run Galaxy Z TriFold is completely sold out.
Samsung initially said the phone was expected to become available in Korea on December 12, 2025, followed by China, Taiwan, Singapore, the UAE, and the United States. The company’s U.S. availability announcement provides the later U.S. launch date and price. Availability can change, so the manufacturer’s live page is the appropriate place to check current U.S. stock rather than relying on the original leak or launch date.

What the headline specs do—and do not—tell you
The TriFold’s defining trade-off is the gap between its folded form and its fully unfolded 10-inch workspace. The large screen may suit reading, multitasking, or other uses that benefit from more display area; it also makes folded weight and thickness especially important to consider. Whether that trade-off is worthwhile depends on how often you would use the larger panel compared with a conventional flagship or single-fold phone.

The 200MP label likewise describes resolution, not a complete verdict on image quality. Samsung’s listed optical stabilization, autofocus system, aperture, and field of view help characterize the main camera, but the specifications alone do not establish how it compares with another phone in real photographs.

Finally, neither the 5,600mAh capacity nor Samsung’s promotional endurance language establishes independently tested battery life. The sources cited here also do not provide an independent long-term assessment of hinge durability. Samsung announced a one-time 50% discount on display repair costs for purchasers as a launch term; that is not a durability test or a standing repair-price guarantee.
Launch extras were time-limited offers
Samsung’s launch announcement also described a six-month Google AI Pro trial. Both that trial and the one-time display-repair discount were presented as launch offers; their mention does not establish that either remains available to new buyers now.
