The pre-launch tip that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 would have 12GB of RAM and a larger battery proved accurate: Samsung confirmed both specifications when it announced the phone. The Flip6 has 12GB of memory and a 4,000mAh typical-capacity battery—300mAh more than the Flip5, according to Samsung. That capacity increase is not, by itself, evidence of a specific improvement in real-world battery life.
What Samsung confirmed about the Galaxy Z Flip6
Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip6 launch announcement lists 12GB of memory, 256GB or 512GB of internal storage, and a 4,000mAh typical battery. Samsung’s US business specification sheet also lists 12GB RAM and those storage configurations.
Samsung’s official teardown independently states that the battery capacity is 4,000mAh. In other words, the tip’s key hardware claims were confirmed at launch; they are not merely unverified rumors now.
How the Flip6 compares with the Flip5
Samsung’s regional product and support pages provide direct comparisons with the predecessor:

The memory comparison comes from Samsung Korea Support. The battery increase is stated on Samsung China’s Galaxy Z Flip6 product page. The storage options above are from Samsung’s launch announcement; the cited comparison pages do not establish a like-for-like Flip5 storage configuration.
What the larger battery does—and does not—tell you
Samsung describes the Flip6’s battery capacity as 4,000mAh and the increase over the Flip5 as 300mAh. Capacity is a specification, not a battery-life test: it does not say how many hours a particular person will get between charges.

Samsung’s launch materials attribute longer usage time to hardware and software optimization, but the official sources cited here do not provide a controlled, direct Flip5-versus-Flip6 runtime comparison. They therefore do not establish a precise number of extra hours or a guaranteed day-to-day improvement.
Storage availability depends on market and channel
Samsung announced 256GB and 512GB Flip6 configurations. The US business specification sheet cautions that some storage options may not be available through all channels. Treat the listed capacities as announced configurations, not a guarantee that both can be purchased everywhere.
