The Galaxy S26 Ultra is a 214 g, 6.9-inch phone with an integrated S Pen and a broad camera system. Samsung’s smaller Galaxy S26 weighs 167 g, while Google’s 6.3-inch Pixel 10 Pro weighs 207 g and is notably shorter and narrower than the Ultra. The right trade-off is not simply the fewest grams: compare dimensions, screen, camera features, pen use and the way you carry a phone.
How much larger and heavier is the Galaxy S26 Ultra?
Samsung lists the Galaxy S26 Ultra at 214 g and 163.6 × 78.1 × 7.9 mm, with a 6.9-inch display. Its own S26-family comparison shows two lighter choices: the Galaxy S26+ at 190 g with a 6.7-inch display, and the Galaxy S26 at 167 g with a 6.3-inch display. Google lists the Pixel 10 Pro at 207 g, 152.8 × 72.0 × 8.6 mm and 6.3 inches.
| Phone | Weight | Dimensions (H × W × D) | Display | Battery capacity |

| Samsung Galaxy S26+ | 190 g (Samsung, 2026) | 158.4 × 75.8 × 7.3 mm (Samsung, 2026) | 6.7 inches (Samsung, 2026) | 4900 mAh typical (Samsung, 2026) |
| Samsung Galaxy S26 | 167 g (Samsung, 2026) | 149.6 × 71.7 × 7.2 mm (Samsung, 2026) | 6.3 inches (Samsung, 2026) | 4300 mAh typical (Samsung, 2026) |

The Pixel 10 Pro XL is included as a size reference, not a lighter alternative: at 232 g, it is heavier than the S26 Ultra. Figures are manufacturer specifications; regional configurations and availability can differ.

What does a lighter phone give up?
Screen area and reach
The S26 Ultra’s 6.9-inch display offers a larger viewing canvas than the 6.3-inch S26 and Pixel 10 Pro. That can matter for reading, video or games, but diagonal size is not the whole handling story: the Ultra is also taller and wider. The Pixel 10 Pro is 7 g lighter than the Ultra on the listed specifications and 10.8 mm shorter and 6.1 mm narrower, even though it is 0.7 mm thicker.
#1 Best Overall
- Stunning 6.9″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with adaptive 1–120 Hz refresh rate, ultra‑bright up to ~2600 nits, HDR support, “Vision Booster,” and adaptive color tone — giving vivid colours, great outdoor visibility, and super‑smooth scrolling.
- Powerful internals: it runs on the new Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy (3 nm) chip, with 12 GB (or in some markets up to 16 GB) RAM and up to 1 TB UFS 4.0 storage — offering significantly improved CPU/GPU/NPU performance, especially for AI tasks, gaming, and heavy multitasking.
- Advanced quad‑camera system: 200 MP wide main sensor, plus a 50 MP ultrawide, a 50 MP periscope telephoto (5× optical zoom), and a 10 MP telephoto (3× optical zoom) — giving flexibility from ultra‑wide through detailed telephoto shots, and strong performance in varied lighting.
- 5,000 mAh battery with 45 W fast wired charging, wireless charging (Qi2) and reverse wireless charging — balancing long battery life with flexible charging options.
- Durable, premium build: Titanium‑frame body, protected by Corning Gorilla Armor 2 glass, with IP68 dust/water resistance, ultrasonic in‑display fingerprint sensor, modern connectivity (5G, Wi‑Fi 7, Bluetooth, UWB, USB‑C), and long‑term software support (Android 15 / One UI 7, promised 7 major OS/security updates).
Camera options
Samsung lists 3x and 5x optical zoom, plus 2x and 10x optical-quality zoom, for the S26 Ultra. Google lists a 5x telephoto camera for the Pixel 10 Pro. These describe different hardware packages, not a controlled image-quality comparison. Match the camera roles and focal lengths you actually use; megapixel counts and zoom labels alone do not establish which phone takes better pictures.
S Pen and software preferences
The S26 Ultra has an integrated S Pen, which may be useful if you regularly write, annotate or work with a stylus. If you would not use it, it may not justify choosing the larger model. The Samsung and Pixel options also come with different software experiences and ecosystems; consider the services and devices you already use rather than assuming one is universally better.

How should you judge comfort and pocket fit?
Grams and dimensions are useful screening figures, but specifications cannot tell you whether a phone will feel comfortable in your hand or fit your usual pocket. Width, height, thickness, corner shape, camera bump and grip all affect handling. A case adds bulk and carried weight, too.
- Compare height and width as well as weight, especially if one-handed reach or pocket carry is a priority.
- If possible, handle the exact model in person. Try the case you expect to use, or allow for its added size and weight.
- Think about your actual use: a large screen may be worthwhile for frequent video or reading, while a smaller body may suit lighter carry better.
Samsung’s official report lists the S25 Ultra at 218 g and the S26 Ultra at 214 g, a 4 g reduction in listed mass. That change does not by itself establish a noticeable improvement in comfort.

How should you compare battery life and charging?
Battery capacity and manufacturer runtime claims are different kinds of information, and the stated runtimes are not head-to-head test results. Samsung lists a 5000 mAh typical capacity and up to 31 hours of video playback for the S26 Ultra. Google lists a 4870 mAh typical capacity and says the Pixel 10 Pro provides 24+ hours of battery life. The claims use different wording and do not establish which lasts longer in comparable mixed use. Samsung notes that actual battery life may vary with network environment, usage patterns and other factors.
Both manufacturers specify charging equipment sold separately in the cited product information. Samsung says the S26 Ultra can reach up to 75% in around 30 minutes with a 60 W adapter. Google says the Pixel 10 Pro can reach up to 55% in around 30 minutes with a 30 W USB-C PPS charger or higher. Confirm the charger’s compatibility, local availability and included accessories for your region before buying.

Which phone should you shortlist?
- Choose the Galaxy S26 Ultra if the 6.9-inch display, integrated S Pen and listed zoom options are features you expect to use enough to accept its 214 g, 163.6 × 78.1 mm body.
- Consider the Galaxy S26+ if you want a lighter Samsung-family option at 190 g with a 6.7-inch display.
- Consider the Galaxy S26 if you prioritize a smaller, lighter Samsung phone: it is listed at 167 g with a 6.3-inch display.
- Consider the Pixel 10 Pro if you want a 6.3-inch cross-brand option whose listed body is shorter and narrower than the Ultra; its listed weight is 207 g, and its camera and software package differ from Samsung’s.
Before deciding, check current local prices, storage configurations, carrier availability and accessory terms. Samsung notes that storage options and availability may vary by carrier, and the cited specifications do not establish current prices or promotions.
