The Xiaomi 17T emphasizes a larger, higher-resolution display, a larger stated battery, faster wired charging, and a dedicated periscope telephoto camera. The Samsung Galaxy S26 is smaller and lighter, and its telephoto camera is specified for 3x optical zoom. Those are hardware differences—not proof of which phone performs better in everyday use. There is no reliable universal price difference: the available official prices are for different countries, currencies, and dates.

Which phone is smaller and easier to carry?
The Galaxy S26 is the more compact option in the cited variants: its 6.3-inch display and 167g Sub6 weight compare with the Xiaomi 17T’s 6.59-inch display and 200g internal-lab weight. The Xiaomi’s larger screen may suit people who prefer more viewing area, but it comes with a larger, heavier handset.
The display specifications establish differences in size and stated resolution, not which screen looks better. Refresh rates are also described differently: Samsung specifies adaptive 1–120Hz, while Xiaomi lists up to 120Hz.

How do their cameras compare?
The rear camera layouts take different approaches. Samsung lists a 10MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. Xiaomi lists a 50MP OIS periscope telephoto at a stated 115mm-equivalent focal length, alongside a 50MP OIS main camera. These specifications describe hardware; megapixel counts and focal length alone do not establish which phone takes better photos or video.
No comparable independent camera test is established here, so a real-world camera winner cannot be called from the specification sheets alone. Consider the focal lengths and camera arrangement you are most likely to use, then look for tests made under comparable conditions before choosing on image quality.

Battery capacity and charging ratings are not battery-life or charging-time test results. Actual endurance depends on use and network conditions, as Samsung notes, and the available information does not establish a comparable battery test for these phones. Xiaomi says the Global 17T package does not include a power adapter; box contents may vary by region.

Which phone should you choose?
- Consider the Xiaomi 17T if you prefer a larger display, want the listed larger typical battery and 67W charging specification, or value a dedicated 115mm-equivalent periscope telephoto camera.
- Consider the Galaxy S26 if a smaller, lighter phone better suits you or Samsung’s listed 3x optical telephoto arrangement is a closer fit for your needs.
- Check your local Galaxy S26 variant before buying: Samsung lists different processors by market.
- Compare current local offers at the same storage tier. The available launch and promotional prices do not establish a universal price winner.
Neither set of specifications proves an overall performance, camera, or battery-life winner. The best fit depends on which hardware differences matter to you and the current price of each phone where you live.

Both manufacturers list IP68, but an IP rating is a laboratory classification, not a guarantee against liquid damage. Samsung warns that resistance may diminish with wear; Xiaomi qualifies its rating with stated laboratory conditions.
