The price gap is not fixed: 91mobiles and Smartprix list different prices, so treat them as snapshots rather than guaranteed current offers.

Price difference in India
The comparison pages show Motorola below Samsung, but their snapshots do not agree on either phone’s price. The figures below are India price listings, not confirmed official prices or live offers. Smartprix says its comparison details were last updated September 17, 2026; 91mobiles’ cited comparison page provides another snapshot without an update date established here.

Which phone has the better display?
The Motorola’s listed 6.78-inch screen (6.8 inches when rounded by 91mobiles) gives it more viewing area than the Galaxy S26’s 6.3-inch panel. Its listed refresh rate is also higher at 144Hz versus 120Hz. Those specifications favor Motorola for a larger display and a faster listed refresh rate; they do not by themselves establish differences in brightness, color accuracy or outdoor visibility.
The Galaxy S26’s smaller display is a meaningful advantage if you want a more compact handset. Samsung Singapore lists its base-model dimensions as 7.2mm thick and weight as 167g; the cited comparisons do not establish the Motorola’s weight or thickness. Do not confuse Samsung’s 6.3-inch base S26 with the 6.7-inch S26+ mentioned on the same product page. Samsung Singapore.

Performance: chips and benchmark context
91mobiles lists the Galaxy S26 with Samsung’s Exynos 2600 and the Motorola with MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 Extreme. That same comparison reports a higher Geekbench multi-core result for Samsung. This is a result reported by the comparison site, not an independent test conducted for this article, and it should not be treated as a guarantee of faster performance in every app or workload. 91mobiles.
Camera specifications: what the numbers tell you
The cited listings give both phones a 50MP main camera. Samsung’s official Singapore specification lists a 10MP telephoto and 12MP ultrawide; Smartprix lists a 50MP periscope telephoto with 3.5× optical zoom and 50MP ultrawide for the Motorola. The listed resolutions suggest the Motorola has higher-resolution secondary modules, but megapixels alone do not establish which phone takes better photos. Comparable hands-on image testing is not available here, so there is no substantiated overall camera winner.

Samsung also markets AI photo editing and night-video processing for the S26. These are manufacturer-promoted capabilities, not a claim that its camera outperforms Motorola’s in real-world image quality. Samsung Singapore.
Battery and practical use
Samsung’s official Singapore page gives the base S26 a rated battery capacity of 4300mAh. Comparison sites report a greater capacity or runtime for the Motorola, but the available cited evidence for those Motorola figures is third-party comparison data rather than a manufacturer specification. Capacity is not the same as measured battery life: display settings, software, signal conditions and workload affect how long a phone lasts. Samsung Singapore; 91mobiles; Smartprix.

- Choose the Motorola Edge 70 Pro Plus 5G if you prioritize a larger screen, the higher listed refresh rate, and a lower price in the cited Indian snapshots.
- Choose the Samsung Galaxy S26 if you want a compact 6.3-inch phone, prefer Samsung’s ecosystem, or place weight on the higher Geekbench multi-core result reported by 91mobiles.
- Decide based on camera evidence cautiously: the Motorola has higher listed resolutions for its telephoto and ultrawide modules, but the specifications do not establish superior photos.
These comparisons identify the Galaxy S26 as launching on February 25, 2026; Samsung India’s specifications page also gives that date for the S26 series, but its page configuration is not a clean base-model specification source. Samsung India.
