If phone-powered desktop work is a priority, choose the Samsung Galaxy S26: Samsung’s business listing specifically confirms DeX support. Consider the Google Pixel 10 if Google’s stated software-update commitment, security features, or listed dual-eSIM setup better fits your needs. Both phones list eSIM support, but neither listing establishes which will last longer through a work-and-travel day or guarantees service with a particular carrier abroad.
What this comparison covers
The available specifications are from two different market listings: Samsung’s German business listing for a 256 GB Galaxy S26 and Google’s US Pixel 10 specification page, both reviewed on October 4, 2026. They establish selected advertised features, not a controlled comparison or a complete regional, carrier, or enterprise assessment. Prices, model availability, cellular bands, SIM configurations, packaging, and carrier compatibility can vary. Check the exact model sold in your country before buying.
Which phone is better for work?
Choose the Galaxy S26 if you want Samsung DeX
Samsung’s German business listing says “Samsung DeX Support Yes.” DeX is the clearest documented work differentiator in these listings: it supports choosing the Galaxy when you want a phone-powered desktop-style workflow. The listing does not establish how a particular monitor or dock will work, or whether DeX can replace your computer for your specific tasks.

Google lists seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates for the Pixel 10. Its US specifications also name Titan M2 and other security measures. These details may matter if Google’s software approach suits you, but the listings do not show that the Pixel is more secure than the Galaxy under a particular company’s device-management setup. If this will be a managed work phone, ask your IT team which models and configurations it supports.

Which phone is easier to use for travel SIMs?
Both listings describe eSIM support, but that alone does not guarantee overseas service. Samsung’s German listing describes nano-SIM and eSIM combinations, including dual eSIM. Google’s US Pixel 10 page lists two active eSIMs and storage for eight or more eSIMs. Before relying on either phone abroad, verify the exact regional model, whether it is carrier-unlocked, the destination carrier’s support, available bands, and the travel plan’s terms.
Which has better battery life for a full work-and-travel day?
The published figures do not establish a winner because the manufacturers describe different measures, not comparable test results. Samsung lists a 4,300 mAh typical capacity and up to 30 hours of video playback for the Galaxy S26. Google lists a 4,970 mAh typical capacity, “24+ hour battery life,” and up to 100 hours with Extreme Battery Saver for the Pixel 10. These are manufacturer specifications and claims, not a head-to-head test of travel or work use.

If endurance is decisive, look for independent testing that compares both phones under similar conditions and with your intended workload. Capacity or a manufacturer’s playback and battery-life claims alone cannot predict your screen time, network use, navigation, hotspot use, or work apps.

Update commitments are stated differently
Google says the Pixel 10 receives seven years of OS, security, and Pixel Drop updates. Samsung’s cited Galaxy S26 business listing gives a security update period ending February 28, 2033. These are not directly equivalent promises, and the cited pages cover different markets. Do not treat them as a universal support ranking without matching the precise regional models and policies.

Pixel fast charging requires a compatible charger
Google says the Pixel 10 can reach up to 55% charge in about 30 minutes with a 30 W USB-C PPS charger or higher, sold separately. The same US specification page lists Qi2 wireless charging up to 15 W. Check the package contents in your market rather than assuming a charger is included.

How to choose for your situation
- Pick the Galaxy S26 when: DeX is important to your work, and the exact regional model meets your company’s requirements.
- Consider the Pixel 10 when: Google’s stated update commitment, listed security features, or dual-eSIM setup fits your priorities.
- For either phone: Confirm regional model, cellular bands, carrier unlock status, destination coverage, plan terms, employer policy, and current local price before purchase.
- If charging speed matters: Include the separate 30 W USB-C PPS charger or higher required for Google’s stated Pixel fast-charge figure in your setup.
