A report put the unlocked 256GB Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra at $979.99 for Amazon Prime members during Prime Big Deal Days, a reported $420 below Samsung’s then-current $1,399.99 list price. Amazon’s event ran October 6–7, 2026, and the report does not establish that the offer is still available or confirm its checkout price.
What was the reported Galaxy S26 Ultra deal?
TechTimes reported on October 6, 2026, that Amazon was offering the unlocked 256GB Galaxy S26 Ultra for $979.99 to Prime members. The report described that as $420 off, or 30% below the then-current $1,399.99 list price. The Amazon offer was tied to Prime Big Deal Days, which Amazon announced as a 48-hour event running October 6–7, 2026, with deals for Prime members and offers subject to availability.
The advertised $420 reduction uses Samsung’s current list price as its comparison point. TechTimes said the 256GB phone originally launched at $1,299.99, making the difference between that launch price and the reported sale price about $320. The report also noted earlier sale prices below $979.99, so this October offer should not be described as an all-time low.
How does the reported price compare across storage sizes?
Samsung’s US product page listed these prices when accessed October 7, 2026. The separately reported Amazon price for 512GB comes from Android Authority and is not the same configuration as the $979.99 offer.

Do you need Prime, and is the offer still available?
The specific 256GB phone offer was reported as Prime-member-only. Amazon’s event announcement likewise says Prime Big Deal Days deals were for Prime members, but that does not confirm the phone’s current listing or price. The event dates have passed; the reporting available here does not establish whether the deal continued afterward.
