Brightness measurements are not settled across the cited coverage. Tom’s Guide measured 1,806 nits of HDR brightness for the S26 Ultra and 1,860 nits for the S25 Ultra in its comparison. It also reported that Samsung shared different results and said it planned to retest. Other camera findings depend on the shot
In its comparison with the iPhone 17 Pro Max, Tom’s Guide reported stronger zoom and low-light examples from the S26 Ultra, but weaker macro detail and occasional oversaturation. These are results in particular scenes against a particular rival, not a blanket ranking of either camera system.
