The Samsung Galaxy S26 FE and vivo X500 have different strengths on paper, but their published prices are for different markets: Samsung lists the FE from $699.99 in the U.S., while vivo lists the X500 from CNY 5,499 in China. Those prices do not establish a direct price gap. The official specifications allow a useful hardware comparison, but they do not prove which phone performs better in everyday use.

Display and size: Samsung publishes more detail
Samsung specifies a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with a 60Hz/120Hz refresh rate and 1,900-nit brightness. The cited vivo page does not state comparable X500 display details, so there is not enough published information here to compare screen size, sharpness, smoothness, or brightness directly.

The listed dimensions make the X500 narrower and shorter than the FE, but thicker. It is also heavier in the cited specifications: 211–213 g, depending on color, versus Samsung’s 193 g. How those differences feel in hand depends on grip and case use; dimensions alone do not establish comfort.

Cameras: optical zoom is specified for the FE
Samsung lists three rear cameras on the Galaxy S26 FE: a 50MP wide camera with optical image stabilization, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and an 8MP telephoto camera with OIS and 3x optical zoom. Its front camera is 12MP. The cited vivo product page does not provide comparable X500 camera specifications, so the published evidence cannot establish which phone has better camera hardware or produces better photos.
Processor, RAM, and storage
vivo identifies the X500’s processor as the Dimensity 9600M and lists 12GB RAM. Its China page offers three storage configurations: 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. Samsung’s cited U.S. announcement lists 128GB and 256GB storage options, but does not state the FE’s processor or RAM. That leaves no supported basis here for a processor, memory, or performance ranking.

Price difference: why these figures are not a direct comparison
Samsung’s $699.99 starting price is for the U.S. market; vivo’s listed prices are suggested China-market prices in yuan and vary by storage configuration. Because the markets, currencies, and stated configurations differ—and Samsung’s announcement does not tie its starting price to a storage tier—subtracting or converting the figures would not produce a meaningful local price gap.
For an actual purchase decision, compare the price of the same storage tier in your country, including taxes and any retailer or carrier offers. The cited sources do not establish vivo X500 pricing, local availability, network compatibility, or warranty terms outside China.

Which phone should you choose?
The official specifications alone do not establish an overall winner. The Galaxy S26 FE is the clearer choice on paper if your priorities are a specified 120Hz display, a published three-camera setup with 3x optical zoom, or the cited U.S. distribution details. The X500 is the one with a named processor, 12GB RAM, and storage choices up to 1TB in the cited China listing. Those distinctions describe what the manufacturers publish; they are not evidence of better real-world speed, battery life, camera results, or software support.
Before choosing the X500 outside China, confirm local sales, carrier compatibility, and warranty coverage with the seller or manufacturer. For either phone, use current local pricing and the exact storage configuration to compare value.
