The sources do not explain the difference between those earlier launch prices and the later product-page prices, so check the retailer or OPPO listing for the amount available when you buy.
Samsung’s 14 September 2026 announcement also described a dated purchase offer: an upgrade bonus of up to ₹8,000 on exchange, or select no-cost EMI for up to 30 months with an additional ₹3,000 upgrade bonus, or ₹7,000 bank cashback. Samsung stated that these options are mutually exclusive. Eligibility and availability can affect the final price; the listed price gap does not account for any buyer-specific offer.

Which phone fits your priorities?
Choose the Galaxy S26 FE if software-support duration matters most
Samsung states that the S26 FE will receive up to seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates from global launch. OPPO’s cited product-details page names ColorOS 16.0 but gives no directly comparable support-duration promise. That absence does not establish that OPPO offers no updates; it means the cited page does not provide a term to compare.
Consider the Reno16c for battery capacity and charging
OPPO lists a 7,000mAh typical battery (6,850mAh rated) and 80W SUPERVOOC charging, and includes a charger in its India box contents. Samsung lists a 4,900mAh battery in the cited announcement. Capacity and charging specifications alone do not establish real-world endurance or charging time, which can vary with use and conditions.

Compare the camera focal lengths you actually use
Both phones have a main camera, an ultrawide and a telephoto camera, but the published hardware differs. Samsung specifies a 12MP ultrawide and an 8MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom and OIS. OPPO specifies an 8MP ultrawide and a 50MP telephoto with 3.5x optical zoom and 2-axis OIS. Those figures describe resolution and zoom hardware; they do not establish which phone takes better photos.
Check storage needs before buying
OPPO says the Reno16c supports storage-card expansion and offers listed internal configurations up to 256GB. Samsung’s cited India announcement specifies an 8GB/256GB model but does not establish storage-card support, so do not assume it has an expansion slot based on this comparison.

Weigh the display specifications with caution
Both manufacturers list 120Hz AMOLED displays. Samsung gives a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel and a 1,900-nit figure; OPPO gives a 16.69cm (about 6.57-inch) 2372 × 1080 AMOLED panel and 1,400 nits HBM. Brightness figures are stated by the manufacturers under their respective specifications and are not a direct independent comparison of visibility or screen quality.
Availability and what the prices mean
Samsung’s India launch announcement provides its price and purchase offers; OPPO says the Reno16c is available through its India store and authorised retail and offline partners. Prices, stock and offers can change, so confirm the exact configuration and final payable amount with a seller before ordering. The comparison reflects manufacturer-published information available on 4 October 2026, not a hands-on review or independent benchmark.
