The cited Xiaomi UK specification information does not establish a comparable weight or screen-size figure, so it is not enough to make a like-for-like size comparison.

Which has the stronger battery and charging specifications?
Xiaomi UK lists a 6330 mAh typical battery, 100W wired HyperCharge and 50W wireless HyperCharge for the Xiaomi 17. These are manufacturer specifications, not a head-to-head battery-life result. Capacity and charging wattage alone do not tell you how long a phone lasts in your routine or how quickly it will charge in every situation. Xiaomi notes that the adapter is not included in the UK box listing; check the package for your country and the requirements of a compatible charger before budgeting for one.
What do the camera specifications tell you?
Samsung lists three rear cameras on the S25: 50 MP, 10 MP and 12 MP, with optical 3x zoom on the telephoto camera. Those numbers describe hardware, not photo or video quality. The evidence here does not provide comparable independent camera testing for both phones, and it does not establish Xiaomi 17 camera specifications for a matched regional variant. For a camera-led decision, look for independent tests using the exact versions sold in your market rather than treating megapixels as a quality ranking.
