A November 2024 report described a video said to show a working Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra prototype, with flatter sides, rounded corners, and separate rear camera openings. The footage was not authenticated, and the hardware details discussed alongside it were pre-launch claims—not specifications confirmed by the video or Samsung.
What the reported Galaxy S25 video appeared to show
HotHardware’s November 26, 2024 report by Aaron Leong recounted a Reddit post containing footage purported to show a working Galaxy S25 Ultra prototype. The report did not independently establish that the device in the video was an S25 Ultra, so its visual observations should be understood as the publication’s interpretation of purported prototype footage, not as a Samsung design announcement.
Leong described a flatter, more slab-like phone with flat edges, rounded corners, separate openings for the rear cameras, and a glossy metal finish. Those were the visible design cues reported from the video; they did not establish the final retail design or the materials used in the production phone. Read HotHardware’s original report.

The report associated the purported phone with this four-camera arrangement and a set of expected specifications. These figures were pre-launch claims reported by HotHardware, not details verified by Samsung or established by the footage itself.

What Samsung’s US product page confirms
Samsung’s US Galaxy S25 Ultra page presents the marketed phone’s specifications, providing a useful post-launch check against some of the report’s claims. It lists a 200MP wide camera, Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, a 5,000mAh battery, a titanium frame, IP68 water resistance, 12GB memory, and storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB. See Samsung’s US Galaxy S25 Ultra product page.
The clearest discrepancy is memory: the report’s pre-launch expectation was 16GB, while Samsung’s cited US page lists 12GB. Samsung’s page confirms a 200MP wide camera, but the cited information does not verify the complete four-camera breakdown from the leak. Nor does the page material cited here establish the report’s display refresh rate or wired charging rate. Treat those details as unconfirmed by these sources rather than carrying them forward as official specifications.
