Purported Galaxy S25+ hands-on images circulated in December 2024, showing a flat-fronted phone with three vertically aligned rear cameras; separate pre-launch imagery suggested rounder corners for the Galaxy S25 Ultra. These were leak claims, not Samsung confirmation. Samsung later announced the Galaxy S25 series on January 22, 2025, so the images are best read as an early look at the designs rather than a current product announcement.
What the leaked Galaxy S25+ images appeared to show
Android Authority reported on December 17, 2024, that leaker Jukanlosreve had posted three images said to show the Galaxy S25+. The report described a flat display front with thin visible bezels and three vertically arranged rear cameras surrounded by solid circular rings. One image appeared to show the identifier SM-S936U, which the outlet associated with a US model. Android Authority’s account of the alleged hands-on images is secondary reporting of a social post; Samsung did not authenticate the images in the cited material.
The side feature was reported as an antenna
The images also appeared to show a feature below the volume rocker and power button. Android Authority identified it as an mmWave antenna, not a camera-control button. That interpretation should remain attributed to the report: the photos alone do not establish the feature’s function.
Some details could not be verified from the photos
The outlet noted that the bottom and front details were obscured in the images. They therefore did not establish every bezel detail or provide a complete view of the device. A second period report by TechJuice also described alleged front and rear views, while including pre-launch expectations about colors, storage, and hardware. Those predictions were not official confirmation and should not be treated as established product facts on the basis of the leak.

What the S25 Ultra design leak suggested
Pre-launch coverage contrasted the S25 Ultra’s apparently more rounded outline with the sharper corners associated with earlier Ultra models. That was a visual reading of leaked imagery, not a confirmed specification at the time. It was reasonable to describe the Ultra as looking rounder in the images, but not to infer dimensions, materials, or durability from that appearance alone.
What Samsung confirmed after the leaks
Samsung announced the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra on January 22, 2025. In its official launch announcement, Samsung described the series’ design as grounded in “Simple, Impactful and Emotive” elements. The same release described the Ultra as having a rounded edge and called it the slimmest, lightest, and most durable Galaxy Ultra device at that point. These are Samsung’s design framing and comparative claims, not independent test findings.

Samsung’s January 23, 2025 design feature said the series “enhances usability and strengthens the Galaxy S Series design identity, all with a clearer sense of impression.” This post-launch language gives useful context for the rounded-edge discussion, but it does not authenticate the December images retroactively.
A separate display claim from the launch release
Samsung also said ProScaler improved display image scaling quality by 40%. That is a Samsung-reported figure about its own technology description, not an independent measurement, and it should not be read as a guaranteed improvement for every image or viewing condition.

How to interpret the leak now
- The S25+ photos were reported as leaks in December 2024; they were not Samsung’s official announcement.
- The reported visual details included a flat front, circular camera rings, three vertically aligned rear cameras, and an apparent US-model identifier, but the images left some details obscured.
- The extra side feature was reported as an mmWave antenna. Its identification came from the contemporary report, not Samsung verification of the pictured phone.
- The Ultra’s rounder-corner appearance was a pre-launch interpretation of leaked imagery. Samsung later described the launched Ultra as having a rounded edge.
