Those specifications indicate flexibility and a longer stated update window, not a proven guarantee of better photos. The cited sources do not establish a controlled side-by-side camera winner.
Choose the OnePlus 15R for a larger display, battery, and wired charging
The OnePlus has the larger and faster-refresh panel on the published specifications: 1.5K at up to 165Hz, compared with the Samsung’s 6.7-inch FHD+ screen at up to 120Hz. Its listed 7,400mAh battery is larger than Samsung’s 4,900mAh typical-capacity figure, and its 80W wired charging rating is higher than Samsung’s 45W.

Battery capacity alone does not establish screen-on time or real-world endurance. Likewise, processor names and refresh rates do not prove how much faster a phone feels in everyday use; the cited materials do not provide a directly comparable performance test.

Prices reported in late 2025 are useful context, not current retail quotes. Android Central reported US starting prices of $649 for the Galaxy S25 FE with 128GB storage and 8GB RAM, and $699 for the OnePlus 15R with 256GB storage and 12GB RAM, in its December 29, 2025 article. At those entry configurations, the OnePlus was $50 more, but it included twice the listed storage and more RAM. Android Central also reported that the Samsung 256GB option cost $50 more than its base configuration and that moving to a 512GB OnePlus added $100.

For the UK, Tech Advisor reported a £649 starting price for each phone in its comparison; the publication date was not verified in the cited material. Treat that as historical pricing rather than a current offer. See the Tech Advisor comparison.
No live October 2026 price or stock status was verified for either phone. Before buying, compare the exact storage and RAM variant, local warranty, network compatibility, and current offers in your country. A headline starting price is not a like-for-like comparison when the included storage differs.

Battery and charging: capacity is not the whole story
Samsung describes the S25 FE’s 4,900mAh battery as a typical capacity; actual battery life varies with usage and network conditions. Samsung says the phone supports 45W wired charging and can reach up to 65% in around 30 minutes with a 45W adapter. That charging-time figure is Samsung’s claim under its stated charging conditions, not a guarantee for every use case.

OnePlus lists a 7,400mAh battery and 80W SUPERVOOC charging on its India product page. Any battery-life or charging-time claim from that page should be read in light of OnePlus’s lab or simulated-use conditions. These specifications point to a larger battery and faster wired charging for the OnePlus, while the Samsung’s distinguishing option is wireless charging.

What Samsung’s software promise means
Samsung states that the Galaxy S25 FE will receive seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates, counted from its global launch. Android Central reports four major OS updates for the OnePlus 15R. On the stated commitments in these sources, Samsung offers the longer OS-upgrade window; security-update duration for the OnePlus is not established by the cited comparison.
Verdict: power or polish for your money?
The OnePlus 15R is the stronger specification-led fit if your priorities are a large, high-refresh display, a bigger listed battery, and faster wired charging. The Galaxy S25 FE is the more versatile fit if you value a dedicated telephoto camera, wireless charging, and Samsung’s longer stated software-support commitment.
