The OnePlus 15 is the newer flagship, while the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is an older, higher-tier Ultra model. The OnePlus’s listed specifications include a newer Snapdragon platform, a 7,300 mAh battery and faster refresh options; the S24 Ultra’s cited camera hardware includes a 200 MP main camera and a 5× optical telephoto. Neither specification sheet alone establishes which phone takes better photos, lasts longer in real use or offers better value. Your market, configuration and current offer matter.
At a glance: a newer flagship against an older Ultra
Comparison listings report the Galaxy S24 Ultra as announced January 17, 2024, and the OnePlus 15 as announced October 27, 2025. Those are listing-reported dates, and the phones are not same-generation equivalents: Samsung’s is an older Ultra-tier model, while the OnePlus is a later flagship. The comparison listings therefore provide context, not a controlled test of either phone.

How the camera specifications differ
Galaxy S24 Ultra: more cited optical reach
The cited S24 Ultra camera configuration pairs a 200 MP main camera with a 50 MP telephoto offering 5× optical zoom, plus a 12 MP ultra-wide. That gives it a longer stated optical telephoto reach than the OnePlus 15’s 3.5× telephoto. The Samsung figures come from an indexed third-party catalog, not a Samsung specification page in the available source set. See the catalog listing.

OnePlus 15: three 50 MP rear cameras
OnePlus lists 50 MP sensors for the main, ultra-wide and telephoto cameras, with 3.5× optical zoom on the telephoto and up to 120× digital zoom. Digital zoom is not equivalent to optical zoom, and megapixel counts do not establish image quality. The available specifications contain no controlled camera tests, so they cannot show which phone performs better in particular lighting or shooting situations. OnePlus camera specifications.
#1 Best Overall
- 6.8″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — delivering a bright, sharp screen with smooth scrolling and great outdoor visibility.
Display: the OnePlus figures are clearer
OnePlus specifies a 6.78-inch, 2772 × 1272 FHD+ display at 450 ppi. Its listed refresh behavior is adaptive from 1 to 120 Hz, with a maximum 165 Hz in gaming. The cited Samsung evidence does not establish the S24 Ultra’s display figures, so this comparison cannot make a like-for-like resolution or refresh-rate judgment. OnePlus display specifications.
Battery and charging vary by market
The OnePlus US specifications page lists a 7,300 mAh battery, 80 W SUPERVOOC wired charging and 50 W AIRVOOC wireless charging. OnePlus’s global specifications snippet instead lists 120 W SUPERVOOC charging; do not treat the global and US figures as interchangeable. Check the exact regional model and its official specifications before buying. OnePlus specifications

- 6.8″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — delivering a bright, sharp screen with smooth scrolling and great outdoor visibility.
The cited Samsung excerpt does not establish the S24 Ultra’s battery capacity or charging details, so there is not enough evidence here for a numeric comparison. Nor do capacity and charging wattage by themselves establish battery life or charging time under real-world conditions.
Price: compare live offers, not unmatched snapshots
There is no verified, current price difference for matching country, storage, condition and seller in the available evidence. OnePlus’s US launch page displayed “From $999.99” when indexed; that is a dated page snapshot, not a guaranteed current price. A comparison aggregator reported ₹1,29,999 for the S24 Ultra and ₹85,999 for the OnePlus 15 at retrieval, but those figures are third-party listing snapshots, not verified universal or necessarily current offers. For a meaningful price comparison, check both phones in the same country and currency, with the same storage tier and condition, and account for seller and date. A new S24 Ultra, a refurbished unit and a used phone are different offers, even when the model name is the same. Confirm that the OnePlus configuration and charging variant are actually sold in your market.

- Consider the OnePlus 15 if you want the newer named processor platform, the listed large-capacity battery, or the stated 165 Hz gaming maximum, and the local configuration and price suit you.
- Consider the Galaxy S24 Ultra if its cited 5× optical telephoto and Ultra-tier camera hardware are priorities, and you find a suitable offer. Confirm current regional specifications and condition before comparing it with a new OnePlus 15.
- Compare exact variants before deciding if storage, charging or display details are central to your choice. The OnePlus configuration and charging information cited here is for the US page unless otherwise stated; the Samsung information is incomplete and partly sourced from an indexed catalog.
The available evidence does not establish comparative performance in independent tests, camera quality, battery life, software-support duration or repairability. Treat those as open questions rather than inferring a winner from processor names, battery capacity, zoom labels or megapixel counts.
