The headline price of $1,069.99 was tied to the 512GB unlocked Galaxy S24 Ultra and was about 24.6% below Samsung’s July 2024 U.S. MSRP of $1,419.99—close enough to round to 25%. It is a historical deal claim, not confirmation of a sale available today: the original Yahoo Tech page could not be directly verified, and no current price, stock, seller, condition, or promotion terms are established.
Was the Galaxy S24 Ultra really 25% off?
The arithmetic supports the headline’s rounded discount for one configuration. Samsung’s July 2024 U.S. MSRP for the unlocked Galaxy S24 Ultra with 12GB of memory and 512GB of storage was $1,419.99. A price of $1,069.99 is $350 less, or approximately 24.6% below that MSRP. The original Yahoo Tech headline used “25% Off,” but its page was not directly accessible for verification, so the headline is evidence of a deal claim—not proof of a completed purchase or independently confirmed offer terms. Samsung’s July 2024 U.S. MSRP list is the basis for the comparison.
Which storage size was listed at $1,069.99?
The $1,069.99 figure is associated with the 512GB model. It should not be applied to the 256GB version: Samsung’s July 2024 U.S. MSRP for the unlocked 12GB/256GB model was $1,299.99, a different comparison point. Samsung also lists a 1TB storage option, but the historical headline does not establish a price for it.

Is the Black Friday deal still available?
There is no verified current offer in the available information. Treat $1,069.99 as a historical headline price unless a retailer currently displays it at checkout. Samsung announced broad availability through its website, carriers, and retailers beginning January 31, 2024, but that launch announcement does not show that any seller has stock now. Samsung’s January 31, 2024 U.S. launch announcement is about the launch, not a current sale.
What to check on a current listing
- Storage: Confirm that the listing is for 512GB if you are comparing it with the historical $1,069.99 claim.
- Network status: Check whether the device is unlocked or tied to a carrier, and whether it supports the network you use.
- Condition and seller: Confirm whether it is new, refurbished, or used, and identify the seller responsible for the transaction.
- Warranty and returns: Read the listing’s warranty coverage and return conditions rather than assuming they match a new, unlocked device sold directly by Samsung.
- Checkout total: Compare the final price, including required fees, and note whether a displayed discount depends on a trade-in, carrier plan, or account-specific eligibility.
What the Galaxy S24 Ultra offers
Samsung lists a 6.8-inch QHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 1–120Hz refresh rate, a 200MP wide camera, and two telephoto cameras: 50MP with 5x optical zoom and 10MP with 3x optical zoom. The phone has 12GB of memory, comes in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage configurations, and has a 5,000mAh typical battery. These are manufacturer-published specifications, not independent test results. Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra product page provides the specifications and qualifications.

Charging and durability qualifications
Samsung says wired charging can reach up to 65% in around 30 minutes in its stated laboratory setup, using a 45W adapter and a 5A USB-C cable. The adapter is sold separately, and actual charging speed varies with usage and conditions. Samsung also lists IP68 water and dust resistance under laboratory submersion conditions; that rating is not a guarantee against damage, and Samsung notes that S Pen water and dust resistance may diminish through normal wear. 5G support depends on availability and network compatibility in the market.
