The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE and OPPO Reno16 5G differ most in camera setup, battery capacity and documented software support. OPPO’s India listing gives the Reno16 a larger stated battery and a higher-resolution telephoto specification, while Samsung documents seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates. There is no verified, same-market price comparison here, and manufacturer specifications alone do not establish which phone takes better photos or lasts longer in real use.

This comparison is between the Galaxy S24 FE and the OPPO Reno16 5G, model CPH2865—not the Reno16c 5G. OPPO says specifications and prices can vary by country, so check the exact local model and price before buying.

Which phone has the better screen?

Samsung’s published screen is a 6.7-inch FHD+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with adaptive 60/120 Hz refresh. OPPO India describes its Reno16 5G display as 16.05 cm with a 2640 × 1216 resolution and 120 Hz refresh; OPPO Luxembourg lists the CPH2865 as a 6.32-inch, 2640 × 1216, 120 Hz AMOLED model. The 16.05 cm figure is approximately 6.32 inches, not 16.05 inches.

The OPPO pages are market-specific, so use the screen size and other specifications published for the phone sold in your country rather than treating every CPH2865 listing as identical. Samsung’s stated size is larger than the Luxembourg OPPO figure; the refresh-rate descriptions also differ, with Samsung specifying adaptive 60/120 Hz and the cited OPPO pages specifying 120 Hz.

How do their cameras compare?

Galaxy S24 FE: a three-role rear camera system

Samsung lists a 50 MP wide camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), an 8 MP telephoto camera with 3× optical zoom and OIS, and a 12 MP ultrawide camera with a 123-degree field of view. Its front camera is 10 MP.

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE, 128GB, Graphite - Unlocked (Renewed)
  • The Galaxy S24 FE packs a large 6.7‑inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive 120 Hz refresh rate, enhanced brightness and a “Vision Booster” mode — ideal for clear, bright visuals even outdoors.

Reno16 5G: higher published resolution on selected cameras

OPPO India lists a 50 MP telephoto camera with 3.5× optical zoom and 2-axis OIS, a 50 MP ultrawide camera, and rear video recording up to 4K at 60 frames per second. The Luxembourg CPH2865 sheet lists three 50 MP rear cameras—wide with OIS, ultrawide and telephoto with OIS—and a 50 MP front camera. Those market pages do not provide one universal camera configuration to apply to every country.

These figures describe hardware and supported recording modes; they do not prove which phone produces better photos or video. No controlled head-to-head camera results are established in the cited material.

Battery capacity and charging: what the numbers do—and don’t—tell you

Samsung lists a 4,700 mAh battery. OPPO India lists 6,700 mAh typical capacity and 6,490 mAh rated capacity for the Reno16 5G, and specifies 80 W SUPERVOOC charging. OPPO says capacity can vary by market, so confirm the regional model.

Samsung Galaxy S24 FE, 128GB, Blue - Unlocked (Renewed)
  • The Galaxy S24 FE packs a large 6.7‑inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with adaptive 120 Hz refresh rate, enhanced brightness and a “Vision Booster” mode — ideal for clear, bright visuals even outdoors.

The Reno16 has the higher published capacity figure in OPPO India’s listing, but capacity alone does not establish longer battery life. The cited sources do not provide comparable runtime testing or a measured charging-time comparison.

Processor, memory and storage

Samsung specifies an Exynos 2400e processor built on a 4 nm process, with 8 GB RAM and storage options of 128 GB, 256 GB or 512 GB depending on region and carrier. OPPO India specifies a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 and lists 8 GB + 256 GB and 12 GB + 256 GB configurations; OPPO Luxembourg lists 8 GB + 512 GB for the CPH2865.

Processor names, manufacturing process and memory capacity are not a substitute for comparable performance tests. The cited sources do not establish benchmark results, so they do not support a performance winner. Compare the storage configuration actually available in your market, especially if you are weighing the India and Luxembourg OPPO listings.

Software support and regional features

Samsung’s stated support commitment is seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates, counted from the Galaxy S24 FE’s global launch. The cited OPPO Reno16 pages identify ColorOS 16.0 but do not state an equivalent support duration. That makes Samsung’s duration documented in these sources; it does not establish that OPPO offers no updates.

OPPO India says its Reno16 5G lacks NFC, eSIM, memory-card expansion and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The same page lists IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K ratings. Treat these as India-specific listing details and verify local specifications; OPPO’s global announcement notes that market availability and specifications can vary.

Price difference: no verified like-for-like figure

OPPO India listed the Reno16 5G at ₹66,999 for 8 GB + 256 GB and ₹72,999 for 12 GB + 256 GB, inclusive of tax and identified as correct on 2026-08-31. OPPO says prices may change. A current Galaxy S24 FE price for the same market, storage tier, date and sales conditions is not established here, so a reliable price difference cannot be calculated.

Before comparing checkout prices, check both phones in the same country and currency, match storage as closely as possible, and account for tax, discounts and the retailer or sales channel. OPPO’s global announcement explicitly says, “Pricing, regional availability and release timing will vary by market.”

Which one should you choose?

  • Choose the Galaxy S24 FE if Samsung’s documented seven-generation OS-upgrade and seven-year security-update commitment is important to you, or you want its published 6.7-inch display and 3× optical telephoto configuration.
  • Consider the Reno16 5G if the local model’s listed battery capacity, 80 W charging, 3.5× optical telephoto specification or available memory/storage configuration better fits your priorities. Confirm your country’s exact CPH2865 specification first.
  • Wait to compare prices until you have current local prices for both phones at comparable storage tiers and with the same tax and promotion assumptions.

Neither set of manufacturer specifications alone settles which device is faster, takes better pictures or lasts longer per charge; the available sources do not include controlled head-to-head results for those questions.
