The Galaxy S24 5G is the smaller, lighter phone, with a rear camera setup that includes an ultrawide lens and a 3x optical telephoto, plus a long software-support commitment from Samsung. The OnePlus 13s has the larger battery, the higher stated wired charging wattage and the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Neither phone wins on specifications alone; the right choice depends on which of those trade-offs matters to you.
The price difference is harder to pin down. The India prices available come from different sellers, storage sizes and chipset variants, so there is no reliable like-for-like gap to quote. The clearest figure is a OnePlus 13s 12GB/256GB listing at ₹54,999 on Reliance Digital, captured on 7 October 2026.

Size, display and handling
The Galaxy S24 is the more compact of the two. It is slightly narrower and shorter, and its Sub6 version is noticeably lighter than the 13s. For a reader who holds the phone one-handed or carries it in a pocket all day, that difference is the clearest spec-based reason to choose the S24. The 13s offers a slightly larger screen, which suits people who watch video or read a lot on their phone, at the cost of more weight.
#1 Best Overall
- This phone is unlocked and compatible with any carrier of choice on GSM and CDMA networks (e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro, Tracfone, Mint Mobile, etc.).
On the display, both phones are 120Hz panels by their makers’ descriptions, but the sources do not allow a detailed comparison of how each one handles refresh rate or colour. Judge the screens by looking at them in a shop or by reading independent reviews that test brightness and motion.
Cameras: lens range versus megapixels
The two camera systems are built around different ideas. The S24 covers more focal lengths: an ultrawide lens for wide scenes and a 3x optical telephoto for closer subjects. The 13s offers a main camera and a 2x telephoto, and its official page does not list an ultrawide lens. If you regularly shoot landscapes, group photos in tight spaces or want a more distant zoom, the S24’s lens range matters more than any megapixel figure.
Rank #2
- 6.7″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X, QHD+ display with 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh and a peak brightness of ~2,600 nits — giving a noticeably sharper, brighter screen than the base S24.
Neither listing supports a claim about which phone takes better photos. Both main cameras are 50MP, but megapixel count does not predict image quality, and the sources do not include an independent camera comparison. Look for side-by-side sample shots from reviewers who test in low light and at zoom.

Battery capacity
The 13s has the larger rated battery at 5850mAh, against the S24’s 4000mAh typical figure. Actual endurance depends on screen use, network conditions and settings, and no independent, matched battery-life test was found for these two phones. OnePlus has published its own comparison, based on 10 common apps and scenarios run in OnePlus Test Laboratory, with referenced data dated 26 April 2025. Treat that as OnePlus’s own result, not a neutral comparison.
Rank #3
- 6.8″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — delivering a bright, sharp screen with smooth scrolling and great outdoor visibility.
Charging
The 13s advertises 80W SUPERVOOC, the higher wattage on paper. Samsung’s figure is different in kind: up to 50% in around 30 minutes with a 25W adapter and 3A USB-C cable, measured in Samsung’s internal setup with services, features and the screen turned off. Real-world charging will vary. The 25W adapter and cable are sold separately, and Samsung recommends its original adapter and cable. Check the package contents on each listing, because the charging protocols and included accessories differ.
Water resistance
The S24’s IP68 rating comes from a laboratory submersion test in up to 1.5m of freshwater for up to 30 minutes. It does not mean the phone is suited to pools or beaches. The 13s water-resistance rating is not covered in this comparison.
Rank #4

- US Model. Compatible with Most GSM and CDMA Carriers like T-Mobile, AT&T, MetroPCS, etc. Will Also work with CDMA Carriers Such as Verizon, Straight Talk.
Chipset and performance
The 13s uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite. The S24’s processor depends on the region and model, and Samsung’s India product pages do not establish a single chipset for every S24 variant. Without a comparable benchmark run on both phones, no speed ranking can be supported. If processor performance is the deciding factor, identify the exact S24 model you are considering and compare benchmarks for that model.

Software support
Samsung has announced seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates for the Galaxy S24 series. The OnePlus material checked for this comparison does not state a comparable commitment. Do not assume the two phones receive equal support periods. If long-term updates are a deciding factor, check OnePlus’s current policy directly before buying.

India price: what the listings show
The listings below are retailer and aggregator figures, not manufacturer prices. Each one records a different date, storage size or variant.
| Source | Date shown | Listing | Price shown | Qualification |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Reliance Digital | Captured 7 October 2026 | OnePlus 13s 5G, 12GB RAM, 256GB | ₹54,999 (MRP ₹57,999) | Retailer price; offers and stock can change |
| Smartprix comparison | Updated 5 October 2026 | OnePlus 13s | ₹54,999 | Matches the Reliance Digital figure |
| Smartprix comparison | Updated 5 October 2026 | Galaxy S24 listing | ₹61,449 | Storage and chipset not identified in the comparison |
| Smartprix variant pages | Not separately dated | Galaxy S24, by variant | ₹55,999 or ₹49,999 | Price depends on the variant page; one ₹49,999 page is labelled Snapdragon |
| Gadgets 360 | 20 September 2026 | Galaxy S24, lowest 128GB price | ₹49,999 | A single-date low price, not a current quote |
Subtracting ₹49,999 from ₹54,999 would suggest a ₹5,000 gap, but that subtraction mixes dates, storage sizes, sellers and chipset variants. It is not a valid price difference.
How to compare prices before you buy
- Fix the storage size and, for the S24, the exact model and chipset variant shown on the Samsung India product page or the seller’s listing.
- Check both phones on the same day, from the same seller where possible, and note the date you checked.
- Compare the final price after bank discounts, exchange offers and any launch offers, since the listed price alone can be misleading.
- Confirm the warranty terms and what the box includes, especially the S24’s charger and cable, which Samsung sells separately.
- Record the seller, date and configuration so you can compare the figure again before paying.
Which phone suits which buyer
- Choose the Galaxy S24 5G if a smaller, lighter phone matters most, you want an ultrawide lens and a 3x optical telephoto, or you value Samsung’s stated seven years of security updates. Confirm the exact region and chipset before buying.
- Choose the OnePlus 13s if a larger battery, higher stated wired charging wattage, the Snapdragon 8 Elite, or a slightly larger screen matter more, and you are content with a main camera and 2x telephoto setup.
- Compare current prices first if the decision depends on price. The India figures above do not support a firm difference, and the choice may be settled by a discount on one of the two phones on the day you buy.
For the specifications themselves, the manufacturer pages are the primary sources: Samsung’s India specifications, the Samsung India product listing and the OnePlus India page for the 13s.
