The Motorola Edge 60 Pro has the larger, sharper display, a higher-capacity battery and faster rated wired charging. The Samsung Galaxy S24 is substantially smaller and lighter, and Samsung announced a longer software-support commitment. Neither is an automatic winner: camera quality and real-world battery life cannot be settled from specifications alone, and the available India price figures are not a like-for-like current comparison.

Samsung Galaxy S24 vs Motorola Edge 60 Pro: key specifications

The figures below are manufacturer-published specifications for India, not results from comparative testing. The phones also differ in the configurations listed by their manufacturers, so check the exact variant available before buying.

Which phone has the better display?

Motorola: more screen area and pixels

The Edge 60 Pro’s 6.7-inch, 2712 × 1220 pOLED panel is larger and has a higher listed resolution than the S24’s FHD+ 2340 × 1080 Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel. Both manufacturers list a 120 Hz refresh rate. That makes Motorola the stronger on-paper pick if you want a larger, higher-resolution screen; it does not prove better color, brightness, outdoor visibility or overall image quality.

Samsung: easier to carry

The S24’s smaller display is part of a more compact body. At 147.0 mm tall and 167 g, it is shorter and lighter than the Edge 60 Pro at 160.69 mm and 186 g. Choose the Samsung if one-handed handling and a lighter pocket load matter more than screen size.

#1 Best Overall
Samsung Galaxy S24 5G, US Version, 128GB, Onyx Black - Unlocked (Renewed)
  • This phone is unlocked and compatible with any carrier of choice on GSM and CDMA networks (e.g. AT&T, T-Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, US Cellular, Cricket, Metro, Tracfone, Mint Mobile, etc.).

Which has better battery life and charging?

Motorola lists a 6,000 mAh battery and 90 W wired charging, compared with Samsung’s 4,000 mAh typical battery and up-to-25 W wired charging claim in its India launch material. Motorola also lists 15 W wireless charging and 5 W wired power sharing. On stated capacity and charging ratings, the Edge 60 Pro leads.

Capacity and charger wattage do not establish how many hours either phone lasts or how quickly it charges in real use. Those outcomes depend on usage, software, temperature and charging conditions, and no controlled head-to-head results are established here. Samsung’s India product page says a travel adapter is not included; account for a compatible adapter if you do not already own one.

Rank #2
Samsung Galaxy S24+ Plus 5G, US Version, 256GB, Onyx Black - Unlocked (Renewed)
  • 6.7″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X, QHD+ display with 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh and a peak brightness of ~2,600 nits — giving a noticeably sharper, brighter screen than the base S24.

How do the cameras compare?

Both phones list a 3× optical telephoto camera, so neither lacks a dedicated zoom lens on paper. Samsung lists a 50 MP main, 10 MP telephoto and 12 MP ultrawide; Motorola lists a 50 MP main, 10 MP telephoto and 50 MP ultrawide. The differing resolutions do not settle which phone takes better pictures: sensor characteristics, lens quality, image processing, stabilization and software all matter.

No comparative camera samples or controlled photo testing are established by these specifications. If camera performance is your deciding factor, compare recent independent samples taken in daylight, indoors, at night and at the telephoto and ultrawide settings before choosing.

Rank #3
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra 5G, US Version, 256GB, Titanium Black - Unlocked (Renewed)
  • 6.8″ Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with a 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate and up to ~2600 nits peak brightness — delivering a bright, sharp screen with smooth scrolling and great outdoor visibility.

Which phone has longer software support?

Samsung announced seven generations of OS upgrades and seven years of security updates for the Galaxy S24 series. Motorola’s India product page lists three OS upgrades and four years of security maintenance releases for the Edge 60 Pro. On the commitments stated by the manufacturers, the S24 has the longer support window. These are announced or listed commitments, not a guarantee of identical update timing across regions or carriers.

What is the price difference in India?

The available figures do not support a reliable current price-gap calculation. Samsung’s India launch announcement in January 2024 gave a launch MOP of ₹79,999 for the 8 GB/256 GB S24 and ₹89,999 for the 8 GB/512 GB model. Motorola’s India storefront displayed ₹33,999 against a ₹40,999 MRP for a selected Edge 60 Pro listing when accessed on October 4, 2026, and marked that listing currently out of stock. One is a historical launch price and the other a volatile storefront snapshot; they do not establish what either phone costs now or compare equivalent storage variants.

For a useful price comparison, check same-day listings for the same storage capacity and a comparable seller and warranty. Record whether each figure is an MRP, sale price or bank offer, and confirm stock for the exact RAM/storage variant. Which phone should you buy?

Choose the Galaxy S24 if

  • You want a compact, lighter phone.
  • Samsung’s announced longer OS and security-support window is important to you.
  • You prefer the S24’s smaller FHD+ display and are comfortable with its stated battery capacity and charging rate.

Choose the Motorola Edge 60 Pro if

  • You want a larger, higher-resolution 120 Hz display.
  • You prioritize the higher stated battery capacity and faster rated wired charging.
  • You are comfortable with its larger, heavier body and the shorter support commitment listed on Motorola’s India page.

For either phone, compare the exact storage variant and current seller price, then use camera samples or controlled battery tests—not megapixel counts or battery ratings alone—if those are your deciding factors.
