The Galaxy S24 5G is Samsung’s higher-tier phone, while the 2026 Galaxy A37 5G offers a large, high-refresh-rate display and a 5,000 mAh battery. Samsung’s published specifications make several hardware differences clear, but a precise price difference cannot be stated without a current S24 price for the same country and storage size. Samsung US listed the A37 at $449.99 for 128 GB and $569.99 for 256 GB on October 4, 2026; those figures are not a matched S24 comparison.

What the specifications mean in everyday use
Display size and handling
The A37 has a 6.7-inch display, compared with the S24’s 6.2-inch panel. That makes the A37 the larger-screen option on paper, while the S24 is lighter by the published weights. Both are listed with refresh rates up to 120 Hz; refresh rate alone does not establish that the displays look or behave identically.
Camera hardware
Both phones list a 50 MP main camera and 12 MP front camera, but megapixel counts do not determine image quality. The S24’s listed rear system includes a 10 MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. The A37 instead lists an 8 MP ultra-wide and 5 MP macro alongside its main camera. Samsung lists optical image stabilization for the A37 main camera. These hardware details describe available camera types, not tested image results.

Battery capacity
Samsung lists a 5,000 mAh typical battery for the A37 and 4,000 mAh typical capacity for the S24. Capacity is not a promise of a particular runtime: actual battery life depends on use, settings, network conditions, and other factors. The published figures alone do not establish which phone lasts longer in real-world use.
Memory, storage, and expansion
Samsung’s US support table lists A37 options of 6 GB RAM with 128 GB storage or 8 GB with 256 GB, and says the A37 does not support external memory cards. The S24 specification sheet covers 8 GB RAM and 128 GB or 256 GB storage for the specified model. Confirm the exact configuration sold in your market rather than assuming these options apply globally.

Price difference: what can be compared
Samsung US’s unlocked A37 listing showed $449.99 for 128 GB and $569.99 for 256 GB when checked October 4, 2026. Samsung Korea announced a ₩598,400 launch price for the A37 in Korea on June 18, 2026. The Korean figure is a country-specific launch price, not a current US price or a direct conversion basis.

A current S24 price for the same country, storage capacity, sales channel, and date is not established by the available Samsung specification sheet. So there is no reliable universal dollar amount for the S24-versus-A37 price difference here. To work it out for your purchase, compare current unlocked prices for the same storage size in your country, or compare like-for-like carrier offers, including any required plan or trade-in conditions.

Software support and availability
Samsung announced the A37 for availability from April 10, 2026 in select markets; Samsung Korea separately announced domestic release on June 19, 2026. Availability and configurations vary by region. Samsung says the 2026 A series receives up to six generations of OS upgrades and long-term security support. “Up to” does not mean every device follows an identical schedule. Do not assume the S24 has the same commitment: check Samsung’s S24-specific support information for the model and market you plan to buy.

- Consider the Galaxy A37 if you want the larger 6.7-inch screen, greater stated battery capacity, a macro camera, or one of the A37’s listed storage configurations. Its Samsung US price provides a concrete reference, but it does not establish the A37’s value against a current S24 offer.
- Consider the Galaxy S24 if you prefer a smaller, lighter phone or want the listed 3x optical-zoom telephoto camera. Confirm current local pricing and the precise regional model before deciding whether those differences justify its cost.
Samsung’s published specifications support this feature comparison, but do not establish real-world speed, photo quality, or battery endurance. Those outcomes cannot be settled by the spec sheet alone.
