The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has no single benchmark score that every unit will reproduce. Published results vary by benchmark version, phone configuration, software, test conditions and whether the figure is a single run or an aggregate. The clearest version-labeled AnTuTu result in the available sources is 1,525,434 in AnTuTu 10; Geekbench and PCMark results also differ by test version and source.

What the AnTuTu score means

Frandroid reported 1,525,434 for the S23 Ultra in AnTuTu 10 in its 2023 review. This is the strongest version-identified AnTuTu result among the cited reports. AnTuTu scores should be compared only when the benchmark version and test context are known.

Tech ARP reported 1,212,174 in AnTuTu in a 2023 performance review, but the accessible article text does not identify the AnTuTu version. Because the versions are not established as the same, the lower figure should not be treated as a direct contradiction or averaged with Frandroid’s result. Tech ARP

Geekbench scores: keep versions separate

The public Geekbench examples span different major versions, model IDs and Android releases. The Geekbench 7.0.0 submission is from an SM-S918B running Android 16; the Geekbench 6.0.3 submission is from an SM-S918U running Android 13. They are not repeated tests of the same configuration, and their scores should not be used as though version differences do not matter.

Geekbench reports single-core and multi-core CPU results. When comparing phones or runs, include the Geekbench major version, model ID, operating system and date alongside both scores. A score alone does not establish how a phone will perform in every app or workload.

PCMark results and the difference between a review run and a median

Frandroid recorded 15,899 in PCMark 3.0 in its 2023 review. UL Benchmarks lists 16,385 for PCMark for Android Work 3.0 on its Galaxy S23 Ultra page, updated 2026-03-12. UL says each displayed score is the median of user-submitted results for the device, rather than one controlled lab run. Its calculation includes submissions from phones that may be hot or running background apps, conditions that can reduce a score.

The two PCMark figures therefore describe different sources and result sets; neither is a promise of what an individual S23 Ultra will score. A median is a helpful aggregate reference, while a review figure describes that publication’s test device and conditions.

Why scores vary between Galaxy S23 Ultra phones

Samsung identifies the S23 Ultra’s processor as the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform for Galaxy, an octa-core chip with a listed maximum clock speed of 3.36 GHz. The underlying platform is shared across the device family, but a benchmark result still depends on more than the processor.

  • 6.8" Dynamic AMOLED 2X QHD+ display with 1–120 Hz adaptive refresh rate, up to ~1750 nits brightness, HDR10+ support, and ultra-smooth responsiveness for gaming and scrolling.
  • Benchmark version: Major and minor app updates can change workloads and scoring, so values from different versions are not interchangeable.
  • Model and configuration: Regional model IDs and memory/storage variants should be identified where available. Samsung’s US business specification sheet lists particular configurations and should not be read as a universal list of global SKUs. Samsung specifications
  • Software and test date: The Geekbench examples run different Android releases and were uploaded years apart.
  • Run conditions: Heat and background activity can affect results; UL notes that its user-submission median includes results affected by such conditions.
  • Result type: A one-off review score, a public individual submission and a database median represent different kinds of evidence.

How to make a fair benchmark comparison

  1. Match the benchmark name and exact version, such as AnTuTu 10 or Geekbench 7.0.0.
  2. Record the full result, including Geekbench single-core and multi-core scores or other available subscores.
  3. Check the phone’s model ID, RAM/storage configuration and Android version where the source provides them.
  4. Note the test date and any disclosed conditions, including whether the device may have been hot or running background applications.
  5. Identify whether the number is a review test, an individual submitted result or an aggregate median; do not average unlike results into a supposed typical score.

Which result should you use?

For a version-labeled AnTuTu reference, use Frandroid’s AnTuTu 10 result of 1,525,434 and retain its review attribution. For Geekbench, state the version and the matching OS/model details rather than selecting one of the two examples as the S23 Ultra’s universal score. For PCMark Work 3.0, UL’s 16,385 median is a current aggregate reference on a page last updated 2026-03-12; Frandroid’s 15,899 is a distinct 2023 review result.

Samsung’s US business specification sheet describes the device with a 6.8-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X WQHD+ display, 5,000mAh battery, embedded S Pen and 5G sub6/mmWave connectivity. Those specifications identify the product, but benchmark numbers alone do not determine whether it is the right phone for a particular buyer. Samsung specifications
