For buyers in India, the Redmi Turbo 5 leads on listed battery capacity, charging speed, display resolution and selfie-camera resolution. The Samsung Galaxy M56 5G offers a slightly larger screen and a clearly stated long-term software-support commitment. Neither specification sheet establishes which phone lasts longer in everyday use or takes better photos, so compare current prices and choose around your priorities.

Which phone has the better display?
The choice is between a bigger screen and higher stated resolution. Samsung lists a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED+ panel, while Xiaomi lists a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED panel. Both are specified at up to 120Hz. Redmi’s resolution is higher on paper; Samsung’s display is slightly larger. Screen quality in use also depends on factors such as brightness, color tuning and viewing conditions, which these specifications do not settle.
Battery and charging: Redmi has the larger numbers
Xiaomi lists a 7540mAh battery and 100W charging for the Redmi Turbo 5. Samsung lists 5000mAh and 45W support for the M56, with the 45W charger sold separately. Xiaomi also lists 27W wired reverse charging for the Redmi.

Cameras: compare the hardware, not just megapixels
Samsung lists a 50MP OIS main camera alongside 8MP and 2MP rear cameras, plus a 12MP front camera. Samsung also announced 4K 30fps 10-bit HDR video recording. Xiaomi lists a 50MP Sony IMX882 main camera with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide camera and a 20MP front camera.
The Redmi has the higher stated selfie-camera resolution, but megapixel counts do not establish which phone produces better portraits, low-light photos or video. No independent side-by-side camera test is established by the cited material; treat the camera figures as a hardware comparison, not a verdict on image quality.

Performance and storage
The M56 uses Samsung’s 4nm Exynos 1480, while Xiaomi lists the Dimensity 8500 Ultra in the Redmi Turbo 5. Processor names and manufacturing-node figures do not, by themselves, demonstrate which phone is faster in games or everyday apps. No independent benchmark or thermal comparison is available here, so avoid choosing solely on an assumed performance ranking.

Samsung’s India launch announcement listed 8GB/128GB and 8GB/256GB models. Xiaomi lists 256GB storage and up to 12GB RAM. Confirm the exact RAM/storage configuration on the seller’s listing before comparing prices; a cheaper listing may not be the same variant.

Software support: Samsung states a specific commitment
Samsung announced six generations of Android upgrades and six years of security updates for the Galaxy M56. The product page cautions that update information reflects current plans and may change. Check Samsung’s current support information when buying, particularly if the update timeline is a deciding factor. The cited Xiaomi product page does not state an equivalent support duration, so the available figures do not support a like-for-like policy comparison.
Price difference in India: compare live offers carefully
Samsung’s April 2025 launch announcement gave introductory prices of ₹24,999 for 8GB/128GB and ₹27,999 for 8GB/256GB, each including a ₹3,000 instant bank discount. Those are historical launch offers, not current prices. A comparison page displayed ₹41,999 for the Redmi Turbo 5 on Amazon when accessed, but retailer prices and offers can change, and that figure does not establish a stable current price.

- DELIGHT IN THE DETAILS: Galaxy A56 5G comes equipped with a triple-lens camera. A 50MP main camera gets great details, even at a distance. The 12MP wide camera allows you to get stunning clarity in your broader shots.
- LASTS LONG. CHARGES FAST: The 5,000mAh battery in Galaxy A56 5G lets you do what you want without worrying about running out of power. And the 45W Super Fast Charging 2.0 recharges your phone faster so you can get back to doing awesome things faster.3
Those numbers are not a fair present-day price comparison. Check both phones on the same day, through the same retailer and under the same conditions: matching RAM/storage, new-device condition, delivery location, and bank or exchange offers. If one price includes a conditional discount and the other does not, compare the payable totals without the offer and with offers clearly separated.
What comes in the box?
Xiaomi says the Redmi Turbo 5 package includes a 100W adapter, USB Type-C cable, protective case, pre-applied screen protector, SIM tool and manual. Samsung says the M56’s 45W charger is sold separately. Retail packaging can vary, so verify the contents for the exact listing and region before buying accessories.

Which one should you choose?
- Consider the Redmi Turbo 5 if its listed 7540mAh battery, 100W charging, 1.5K display resolution or 20MP selfie camera best match your priorities—and the specific variant is available at a price you accept.
- Consider the Galaxy M56 5G if you prefer its slightly larger 6.7-inch display or value Samsung’s announced Android-upgrade and security-update commitment.
- Wait for a same-day comparison if price is the deciding factor. The available price references are from different contexts and do not establish today’s like-for-like gap.
Before ordering either model, confirm Indian network compatibility, exact variant, seller, stock and package contents on the listing. Specs alone do not settle real-world battery life, camera quality, heat or performance.
