The Samsung Galaxy M55 5G and Galaxy F55 5G had the same official launch prices in India at every matching memory and storage tier. Their listed core specifications are also closely matched; the clearest documented difference is the F55’s vegan-leather back. Those prices date to 2024, so they do not establish which phone costs less today.

How the published specifications compare
Samsung’s India product pages list the same headline hardware figures for both phones. A shared specification does not by itself prove identical real-world performance, camera output or battery life.

Design is the clearest listed distinction
Galaxy F55: vegan-leather finish
Samsung highlights the F55’s vegan-leather back with a saddle-stitch pattern. If the rear-panel material and appearance matter to you, this is the most tangible distinction established by the cited product and launch information.

Software support: announced plan, not a delivery record
Samsung announced four generations of Android upgrades and five years of security updates for both models. Treat this as Samsung’s stated support plan, not confirmation that every future update has already been delivered. The F55 product page also says the plan may change and is not an obligation.

- Choose the F55 if you prefer its finish: its vegan-leather back is the clearest documented design difference.
- Check the exact regional variant: specifications and availability may vary by region, and Samsung says specifications can change.
- Do not infer a performance winner from the shared chip: both list Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, but the specifications cited here do not establish which performs better in comparative testing.
