The Redmi Note 15 SE 5G has the larger listed battery, faster charging, a higher-resolution selfie camera and microSD expansion. The Samsung Galaxy M36 5G offers rear-camera optical image stabilization (OIS), a third rear camera and a stated six-generation Android upgrade and six-year security-update commitment. Neither spec sheet proves which phone performs better in everyday use.
For price, the available figures are not a like-for-like current comparison: Samsung’s are historical India launch prices, while Xiaomi’s is an observed 2026 store listing for a different memory tier. Compare the same RAM and storage configuration on the same day before deciding.

Samsung’s India launch announcement on 30 June 2025 listed these prices for the Galaxy M36. The 6GB/128GB figure includes a ₹1,000 instant bank discount; the other listed amounts are launch prices. Samsung said sales would begin on 12 July 2025 through Samsung.com, Amazon and select retail stores.

The Xiaomi listing is not the same memory configuration as Samsung’s 8GB/128GB or 8GB/256GB launch tiers, and it is not a same-date price check. It therefore does not establish a reliable price difference between equivalent versions. Check both official stores or retailers on the day you buy, match RAM and storage, and treat bank offers, coupons and exchange discounts as separate from the listed price. The figures above are from Samsung’s launch announcement and Xiaomi India’s store.
Which phone fits your priorities?
Choose the Redmi SE if its listed battery and storage features matter most
- Its 5800mAh typical battery is larger than the M36’s 5000mAh typical battery, and its listed charging rate is 45W rather than 25W support. These figures do not establish real-world battery life or charging time.
- The listed 20MP front camera has a higher resolution than the M36’s 13MP camera. That alone does not establish selfie quality; Xiaomi lists front video at up to 1080p/30fps.
- Its curved 6.77-inch display and listed microSD support up to 1TB may suit buyers who want those specific features.
- Xiaomi lists an adapter in the package contents, though package contents may vary by region.
Choose the Galaxy M36 if stabilization and stated update support matter most
- Samsung lists OIS on the M36’s rear camera and includes an 8MP rear camera alongside the 50MP and 2MP cameras. Camera count and stabilization specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos.
- Samsung’s stated commitment is six Android OS generations and six years of security updates. Check the current update status for the individual device before purchase; Samsung notes that update timing and content may change.
- Samsung says the M36 can record 4K video with both front and rear cameras, while Xiaomi lists 4K rear recording and 1080p/30fps front recording.
- Samsung names Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection for the M36. Compare that claim with Xiaomi’s IP65 and IP66 laboratory ratings carefully: they describe different kinds of protection, not a directly equivalent durability score.
What the specifications cannot tell you
The processor names and manufacturing processes identify different platforms, but they do not establish which phone is faster in apps, games or sustained workloads. Likewise, battery capacity and charging wattage are specifications rather than controlled runtime and charging-time results. The available manufacturer details do not provide an independent head-to-head camera test or a measured endurance comparison. Treat claims about real-world speed, photo quality, charging time and battery life as unverified unless supported by testing of both phones under comparable conditions.
