Which phone should you buy?
Choose the Galaxy M36 for AMOLED, camera stabilization, and stated support
- The Super AMOLED panel may suit you better if display contrast and panel type matter more than maximum refresh rate.
- OIS is a specific hardware advantage in the M36’s rear-camera setup. The camera specifications do not establish which phone takes better photos overall; the reviewed sources do not provide a controlled direct photo-quality comparison.
- Samsung’s launch announcement gives a clear commitment of six Android upgrade generations and six years of security updates. Its product page lists security updates as valid until 31 December 2031.
- The M36 also has a higher-resolution front camera on paper: 13MP versus 8MP, with Samsung stating 4K recording on its front and rear cameras.
Choose the realme P4x for battery capacity, charging, and refresh rate
- Its stated 7000mAh capacity is larger than the M36’s 5000mAh typical capacity, and its stated 45W charging is faster than the M36’s 25W. Capacity and charging wattage alone do not establish actual battery life or charging time.
- The P4x’s 144Hz display has a higher refresh rate than the M36’s 120Hz display. The M36 uses Super AMOLED, while the comparison page identifies the P4x panel as LCD; pick according to your priorities rather than refresh rate alone.
- realme advertises UFS 3.1 storage and dynamic RAM. Dynamic RAM is not the same as additional physical memory.
How to interpret performance and battery tests
In figures reported by 91mobiles, the P4x scored 2,994 versus 2,704 for the M36 in Geekbench multi-core, and 974,831 versus 597,495 in AnTuTu. The same publisher reported PCMark battery-life results of 17 hours 38 minutes for the P4x and 8 hours 43 minutes for the M36. These are 91mobiles’ test results, accessed in 2026; the reviewed extract does not provide the full testing protocol. They are not guarantees of performance or runtime for every user, and should not be treated as a controlled measure of photo quality or everyday experience.
India price difference: launch prices and dated listings
Samsung’s 2025 launch announcement listed prices for three M36 memory configurations. For the 6GB+128GB variant, the ₹16,499 launch price included a stated ₹1,000 instant bank discount. The other launch prices were ₹17,999 for 8GB+128GB and ₹20,999 for 8GB+256GB. These are historical launch figures, not today’s prices.

On 7 October 2026, 91mobiles displayed the Galaxy M36 at ₹21,999 on Amazon and the realme P4x at ₹22,999 on Flipkart. That is a ₹1,000 difference in the displayed listings, but the extract does not establish that the prices were for matching memory configurations or that either offer remains available. The opened realme product page did not provide an official price.

- The cited comparison page showed the P4x on Flipkart; it does not establish Amazon availability for that model.
What the manufacturers say about the hardware
Samsung announced the Galaxy M36 in India on 30 June 2025 and said availability would begin on 12 July 2025. Its India product page lists a weight of 197g, dimensions of 164.4 × 77.9 × 7.7mm, a typical 5000mAh battery, and up to 17 hours of video playback. The video-playback figure is a manufacturer claim with its own test conditions, not a direct comparison with the P4x.

realme’s India product page advertises the P4x’s Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset, 7000mAh battery, 45W charging, 144Hz display, 50MP rear camera, 8MP front camera, and UFS 3.1 storage. Manufacturer performance and display claims are not independent test findings. A 91mobiles page lists the P4x as released in December 2025, but gives conflicting exact dates in different sections, so a specific release day is not established here.
Verdict: make the choice around your priorities
The Galaxy M36 is the more natural fit if you value AMOLED, OIS, and Samsung’s explicit software-support commitment. The realme P4x is the stronger fit if battery capacity, charging wattage, or a higher refresh rate matters most. Neither specification sheet settles overall camera quality or real-world battery life, so weigh those priorities against the live price of the exact variant you intend to buy.
